NYC Nov 11 - Traffic driving in on Veterans Day

Hello all, this is our second cruise out of New York, we went on the Halloween bahamas cruise last Oct. We are doing the Merrytime Christmas cruise on the 11th. We drove to the port last year and the Lincoln Tunnel was busy, put with the parade going on this year on the 11th do you thing the traffic will be worse?

We are planning on doing a 7 hour drive to get there on the 11th but second guessing our thought process. Can any share experiences with he parade or what additional time we should bank on if any....

We are driving from Toronto.

Traffic will be worse than normal with street closures for the parade but should be manageable... as you get close try an app called waze works great in New York for getting around

Parade shouldnt affect traffic on the West Side Highway. As long as you aren't attempting to cut across town don't think it would be much of an issue. Traffic on a Saturday in NYC is usually very light.
