im looking for Adults who have no kids but prefer to sail Disney over the other cruise lines. Why do you choose Disney?

We have a kid, BUT we also sail alone without her on DCL. Mainly for the cleanliness of the ship, the great service we get, even in the non concierge rooms, and personally I feel like they have better stabilizers on their ships than other companies, which can really come in handy in rough seas. I also like that you’re not being sold packages everywhere you turn. The drinks without a package are half the price compared to NCL without a package. A chocolate martini costs $11 on DCL vs $21 ON NCL after tip. We don’t drink enough to justify buying an expensive drinking package on the other companies ships. Hope this helps. :)

We have a14 year old, so not really into "kid" things anymore. We have contemplated doing non Disney cruises, but just haven't even been able to commit to one. The level of service with Disney is impeccable in my experience and I guess I just don't want to give that up for an unknown. WE have had such great experiences I worry that another line would be a disappointment. We enjoy the rotational dining concept and having the same servers in different restaurants every night, and having Disney shows. We LOVE castaway cay.

We are a married couple without kids, and we have only ever sailed with Disney. Our first cruise was for our honeymoon. We were a little nervous about cruising at first, and with Disney's track record and my personal experiences always being excellent with Disney resorts, we definitely felt better about booking a Disney cruise. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and orderliness of the ship. We are Disney fans, so we really enjoyed the shows, themed dining, Castaway Cay, etc. We are also not drinkers, so being in an atmosphere that didn't revolve around drinking or gambling was nice for us. We had heard that some other cruise lines have much more of a party focus, which just didn't interest us. Overall, we just felt very comfortable with Disney, which led us to book again.

We've sailed 10 times, and the last four were after our daughter turned 18. We love the theming of Disney ships and the service, their staterooms with the split bathroom can't be beat and they have some of the best entertainment, and no casinos! If it was cost effective, we'd sail them more. I would definitely like to sail with just my DH to take advantage of our platinum benefits.

My friends and I (all single and no kids) love cruising Disney. We don't drink and casinos don't appeal to us, so Disney and the plethora of other options for entertainment that they offer really just checks all the boxes for us. The service is impeccable, as is the entertainment. I get asked all the time how I can stand to go on a cruise surrounded by kids, but honestly, if you don't want to see the kids, you don't have to. Go to the Adult Only pool, pick late dining, and stay away from deck 5. We keep saying that we will try another cruise line, but so far, Disney has our hearts.

My first and only cruise so far was a Disney cruise. I didn't decide to cruise and then choose Disney -- rather, I saw what Disney cruises had to offer and it appealed to me enough to get me to book a cruise when I'd previously had misgivings about whether I'd enjoy that type of vacation. It was Marvel Day at Sea that gave me the nudge to do it sooner rather than later, as I'm a big Marvel fan.

I've got a placeholder and intend to go back to DCL because I found it very comfortable and relaxing onboard the ship. I never felt pressured with any sales while I was onboard (well, outside the spa), I could relax knowing everything I'd want outside the alcoholic drinks was already included in the cost I'd paid, I loved the three MDRs, and I felt that I received very good service throughout. MDAS was the only day the ship felt at all crowded (too many people in the atrium at once), but I enjoyed the MDAS activities so much that it balanced out.

Plus... if you do the late dining time, by 5 all the little kids are eating. By the time you eat, they are at the shows then they go to bed. Not many kids running around during the evening hours.

We’re seniors with adult children. Although we did the Alaska cruise with family in three staterooms, we have done all our other cruises on either DCL or Viking River Cruises. We return to DCL for the service, the excellent management of DW’s food alergy (gluten), the shows, characters, and other aspects of the entertainment, the fact there is no casino, the reasonable size of the staterooms, and the itineraries. We have done Med, Alaska, multiple transatlantics, Panama Canal, and Eastern and Western Caribbean as well as shorter Bahamas cruises where we go b2b to get our preferred minimum of 7 nights on board. The longer TA and PC cruises include plenty of activities that we enjoy, like the Anyone Can Cook series, trivia in the pub as well as family trivia in the Promenade Lounge, time in the adult-only Cove Cafe and pool area. DW gets lots of pictures of characters in various costumes and I do some of the daytime beverage tastings (wine, beer, mixology, champagne, and the chocolate and liquor tastings were all good; I’ve not done the whiskey, cognac, etc. tastings since these have usually been scheduled at 10 pm or later).

I have sailed with and without kids, and solo on both Disney and other lines. What I appreciate most about Disney is the theming, entertainment and attention to detail. I like the size of the staterooms and that they all have a sofa, as I dislike having only a bed or chair to sit on, as on some lines. I think Castaway Cay is by far the best private island of any line. Plus, I cannot see Stitch on any other line!

My 67 yo husband is a "reluctant" traveler, although he has no problem frequently visiting WDW. He agreed to a Med Cruise (first time to Europe) only on a Disney Cruise. We have never been disappointed with service at WDW, and after our first Disney Cruise, we would never sail with anyone else! The entertainment, size of staterooms, friendly and courteous staff, food options and the available activities throughout the day were perfect for us. We have 3 adult kids, 5 grands, we take them frequently to WDW but the cruise is our new place to escape reality.

How could I forget this factor! Disney is awesome at handling dietary restrictions, and I never had to worry on this cruise that someone would get lazy and give me regular Coke instead of Diet, or be impatient about me asking them to list off the ingredients in the drink of the day, or resist making adjustments to drinks to make sure I didn't get anything with high fructose corn syrup in it. In mixology the first thing our bartender did was ask about allergies and restrictions and have his assistants go around taking notes to be sure everyone would get what they needed.

We enjoy seeing the movies in an actual movie theater. Princess sometimes shows them in a theater, and also Under the Stars.

We do not sail exclusively DCL, but we enjoy DCL very much, and when we looked for a last minute cruise ( booked for this Sunday only on February 12!) we looked at other lines, but we both decided the Disney Cruise would make us happier, so we booked it.

We love cruising DCL. Our only child is now an adult and actually he loves cruising DCL...he just can't afford it. LOL We have no desire to sit in a smoky casino losing all our hard-earned money, nor do we drink a lot, so some of the other cruise lines just don't appeal to us. We love the personal service on Disney, the Disney theme throughout the ship, the larger staterooms, Castaway Cay, getting to know our servers throughout the week, the adult only areas. If Disney would expand their itineraries we would probably continue cruising exclusively with them, however, we have "been there, done that," for most of the itineraries, and the ones we haven't (Alaska and Europe), we can go much less expensively on other lines.

We (two sisters: single and in our 30s) didn't grow up with Disney beyond reading Donald Duck comics. In our late teens, our parents took us to Florida (lived in Northern Europe at the time) and we fell in love with the parks (we've been to Cali as well). Now we live in the U.S., actually lived in Florida for 9 years and had annual passes (we recently moved, and OMG I miss the parks!).

In 2016, we starting looking into cruising. We initially went to DCL because we know that Disney provides high quality. We did do the research and looked at different cruise lines to compare. We went with, and stayed with, DCL because: no inside smoking, adults only areas, movie theater, our style of evening shows, and themed restaurants (we not people who usually enjoy sit-down-restaurants). But still most of all, the Disney atmosphere: whether in the parks or on the cruise, there is no other like it. We just love being there.

We've been with Carnival once, and had a great time, but of the things mentioned above, they only had the adult only area that we like. (they have great itinerary though, and will cruise with them again).

Solo adult who will cruise Disney in almost all cases. I love Disney and the Magic that is there for all. I love that there is no casino. And no pressure for silly things like White Nights that are not publicized ahead of time so you feel stupid for not knowing about them and more so if you do know and don't want to "play". I love that the bed is a true queen and I don't have to deal with a lump in the middle and/or being eaten by the bed in the night.

I have cruised HAL once with a group. Never again. Horrible experience all around other than the group.

I cruised fathom when they were on a P&O ship where the hotel crew (dining and cabins) were all still P&O and would never cruise P&O because the service was just not up to par IMHO.

I have sailed RCCL on their Radiance Class ships both with a group and solo and will co spider their Radiance Class ships only if the itinerary is right. Like this summer I am doing Greece on Jewel of the Seas. I have no desire to sail on their behemoths though.

So basically everything itinerary being equal, I will always choose Disney. With the right itinerary on a Radiance Class ship, I will consider RCCL.
