One of the perks of staying at Bay Lake!
It is 6:20 AM, and we just enjoyed a preview of the new Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Fireworks. With Hallowishes now being retired, Disney has to test out the new fireworks show sometime. We received a message last night about 'loud explosions possible' this morning. Since we were here when Wishes went kicking and screaming into the dark night skies, we watched the then new show from our balcony a few times that week, so we knew what to expect this time.
I think most of us knew that the new show was going to have more castle projections than the old, and it does. We could not hear the soundtrack, though one of the early high fireworks looked a lot like Oogie Boogie's eyes. There was some, though not much downtime in the middle, and the penultimate flurry appeared to be stronger than the finale.
Overall it does look like it will be a good show, even if we've begrudgingly watch the last vestiges of Wishes fade away into smoke and vapor. There are lots of purple and oranges, and another set of 'ghost eyes' closer to the castle near the end.
Likely they'll do another test in the coming days, and maybe that time we'll be awake enough to remember to take pictures. Time marches on......
