Thanks for the great pics! We are going to the Magic Kingdom tomorrow for the express reason of visiting Tom Sawyer's Island as it has been about 30 years since I have been there, and DD and DH have never been... and for some reason, we just never get there. Now, I am more excited than ever to revisit one of my favorite attractions as a kid!

We also had skipped Tom Sawyer's Island over the years. We were in DW 2 1/2 weeks ago and we made time to visit this attraction. We loved it. My two children (ages 9 & 11) loved exploring the caves, walking over the bridges and especially enjoyed the fort. I wish we were there today.

You ride over to Tom Sawyer Island on a very large raft. It's operated by cast members and holds several people (you're standing). You get the raft in Frontierland, near Splash Mt. and Big Thunder Mt.

I think anytime is good to visit the island. A lot of people skip it and you get to explore at your own pace.
