What if any chance do I have of getting a dinner reservations for May 12 for 3 people. If so what are my best chances. Any park, anywhere onsite as we will be using disney transportation. Also qs recommendations if I can't get a reservation.

You can check and book right now through my disney experience (web or app). Dining for that day has been open to everyone for awhile. There is a lot open so what were you looking for specifically?

I didn't think I had a chance of getting one so I wasn't being picky. But if I had my choice I'd like table service nice but not fancy.

Looking at MDE, there’s plenty open for dinner for 3 on May 12. It’s a matter of what time you’d like to eat. Some places have reservations at 9 PM and others at 4, and then others have plenty at any time in between.

I’d suggest going on MDE and searching for what’s available.

Higher end
Le Cellier (steak)
Citricos (Meditteranian)
Narcoosees (seafood)
Flying Fish (seafood)
Monseiur Paul (fancy french)
Shula's (steak)
Hollywood Brown Derby
Tiffins (african inspired)
Yachtsman (steak)

Middle
Boma (buffett)
Chefs de France (french)
Yak & Yeti (americanized asian)
Spice Road Table
And mostly anywhere at Epcot but didn’t list as haven’t seen as much feedback on those.

Casual but Table Service
Grand Floridian Cafe
Skipper Canteen
Kona Cafe
The Plaza

Plus a few character meals like
Garden grill
Ashkerus
Crystal Palace
Tusker House

All have openings that day for dinner. I’d look at menus and prices and see what fits what you want. You’ll find most of the middle and higher end ones I listed well reviewed here and it really is just what kind of food and atmosphere you want. Like if I were picking I’d pick Narcoosess for a higher budget or Chefs de France for a middle budget because I like seafood and french food; but that may not be your thing.

You’ll find the character meals generally are less about the food and kore about the experience and get a wider range of reviews. The casual ones I listed also seem to have good reviews a varied food at a lower (for Disney) price point.

Truly you have tons of options!
