Mickey's Halloween Party and Halloween Time Superthread 2018!!

How quickly do the parties sell out? We’re thinking of going this year, but not sure which day. It will most likely be a Friday, but not sure when we’ll be able to figure out which Friday. Will I only have days after the sale starts or will I maybe have a few weeks? Currently thinking of either 9/28, 10/12 or 10/26.

You should have a few weeks, but the Friday parties do sell out more quickly than the other dates. Last year, the Friday, 10/13, party sold out very quickly, in less than a few weeks -- the first party to sell out of all the dates. Once all the Fridays are gone, then the other dates start to sell out, too. Basically, the sooner you know which date you want, the better off you'll be buying your tickets. But remember that tickets are non-refundable, non-tranferable, and not for resale -- so don't jump the gun until you're sure about your party date.

Go for it! You might want to look up one or two of Sherry's old super threads to see the format for the first post. I was hoping someone would get the ball rolling! :)

Will you merge this thread into a new thread? This thread has had some pretty good discussion/information so far. (I actually thought that this was going to be this year's HalloweenTime thread! :rotfl:)

Can I start a thread on MHP and Halloweentime for this year? I don't know if anyone started any yet

When this year's super thread gets going, I probably will merge the threads together. Good point, figment!

Well until that thread is created, I have a question...

My friend and I are planning on going on the 12th so on the 12th of June when we order tickets, is it payment by CC only, or can I use a gift card?

I recall reading in past years that people were able to use a gift card to purchase MHP tickets online or via the phone, although there seemed to be some inconsistent issues with online purchases (some folks were able, others have issues, some reported being limited to only one card, etc.). So I would say that tentatively, yes, you should be able to buy the tickets using a gift card, but be prepared for there to be some bugs initially.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is returning for even more days of wicked fun! Beginning September 7 through October 31, a spell will be cast at both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park, transforming the Disneyland Resortinto a frenzy of happy haunts.

This limited-time seasonal celebration will include special attraction overlays, themed décor, seasonal treats and merchandise, plus spooky encounters with favorite characters.

Oogie Boogie will once again take over Disney California Adventure park with stylish Halloween decor along Buena Vista Street and a swarm of bats encircling Carthay Circle Theatre. Cars Land will celebrate Haul-O-Ween as Radiator Springs turns into Radiator Screams! For the occasion, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will transform into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree while Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters changes into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. In Hollywood Land, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will transform nightly into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

Over at Disneyland park, the Pumpkin Festival will greet guests as they make their way down Main Street, U.S.A. Fan-favorite attractions will also return, including the eerily delightful Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.

Additionally, the highly anticipated Mickey’s Halloween Party will host 15 nights of fun. This separate-ticket, after hours event gives you the chance to make your Halloween Time experience even more fun with some exclusive entertainment, Disney characters in their Halloween attire and trick-or-treating throughout Disneyland park!

Be sure to purchase your Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets* early and mark your calendars for the dates below. Tickets may be purchased online at Disneyland.com/party (until the day before the event), at the Disneyland Resort main gate and by phone at 714-781-4400.

If I use my Disney visa credit card , can I get a discount on Halloween party tickets ?

So last year we went to the 10/31 party (Tuesday.) this year, we'll be there for the same Mon-Wed but there are two parties (both Monday 29th, and Wednesday 31st.) Any advantage to going to one or the other (other than it actually being Halloween on the 31st?)

Thank you for the advice. We have so much going on around that time, we’re going to have to squeeze time for a party. If it’s meant to be, I guess it will happen, and if not, oh well.

I'm planning to go to Disneyland the last week in Sept. It's been so long since I've been there, do you mind if I ask what will and will not be open the end of Sept.? Will anything on the Pixar Pier be open? Will Bugs Land be gone? The Halloween overlay will be on the Haunted Mansion by then right? Thanks!

Halloween overlays begin when Halloween starts on September 7. Bugs Land is rumored to close by the end of July. Pixar pier opens on June 23 with the reopened fun wheel and roller coaster. The carousel and the inside out ride will open in 2019.

Pixar Pier officially opens June 23. The carousel will not open until next year but the other rides should all be open in September.

No announcement on Bugsland closing date. It could be closed or they could keep it open through Halloween. I think they might close it by then, but that's just my guess.

Halloween starts early in September. Haunted Mansion with Jack will be open and lots of fun decor at both parks.

Yes, I've been watching for the Halloween thread!
