Miami/Ft.Lauderdale

Anyone have any suggestions for family fun resorts in this area for 1 night in June. Must be on the water where we can walk from pool to beach etc. I keep trying to find a resort like at Disney/ Orlando and I’m not seeing anything.

Kids will be 14 and 11.

If you are looking for a resort hotel that is quiet, with a lovely pool, and on the beach, something like Lago Mar in Fort Lauderdale may suit your tastes: http://lagomar.com. I quite literally grew up there. You can walk down to the jetties on a Saturday or Sunday and watch the cruise ships leave- you can play beach sports, or bring a kite and fly it, as well as other activities.

If you're looking for a waveider, you could consider something like Margaritaville Hollywood.
