The camera is just before the drop. There is a flag and pirate up high to the left, and there's a super bright flash. I don't think most people are aware of it though, even after it takes a picture. DH was looking at it the first time we rode Pirates last week, because the pirate and flag are new, and he was blinded by the flash for several seconds

Actually... this may have been my first time! I say "may" because I'm not entirely sure about trips my parents took us on back in the day Prior to my adult trips, it was all kinda a blur ...

I had the exact same feeling when we went to LTT a year or two ago. I *think* I went there with my parents once, but don't really remember it. Of course, I'm rewinding about 20 more years than you...it would have been either 1972 or 1974.

While it's not my fave, I do agree that it is far superior at night.

From there, I headed over to Haunted Mansion which was practically a walk-on. I love me some grim grinning ghosts... especially when they come out to socialize.

Hello, friends. First off, if you or anyone you know and love are bracing for Hurricane Irma right now, please know my thoughts are with you. Thankfully, my dad is not at his place in Tarpon Springs (very close to Tampa) right now, but some of his neighbors stayed. I also have close family friends doing the hotel circuit as they head north from Tampa as we speak. It’s all very heartbreaking and my hope is that somehow this hurricane loses some steam and won't be as bad as we all fear. Anyway… let’s get back to distracting ourselves with Disney, shall we?!

Sunday, August 20:
Part 1 or The Morning I Meet Love Interest #1

This day was EMH at DHS! On my way to the buses, I snapped a shot of the view from my room and a nearby building.





I was in line for DHS about 7:20ish. A bus pulled up about 15 minutes later and… hooray for Hollywood! Am I the only one in love with these vending machines?!










I was in the park by 8 with so far very low crowds! It was rough seeing the Chinese Theater for the first time post-GMR shut-down. But I tried to focus… after all, I had a rock 'n' rollercoaster to get to!



I did the single rider line and guess what?! Very minimal motion sickness! So… I pressed my luck and hit the standby line for Tower of Terror… and there was indeed a bit of terror in me during that 25 minute wait.

Guess what?! I survived and loved it! It had been years since I’d last ventured on this beloved ride. I was so happy I could again! There are so many things I had forgotten about.

This picture is also tame (although the shadow on my shirt of the guy in front of me kinda looks like a bib... which may have saved said guy in front of me if I did have any nausea issues ) but maybe not quite as tame as my Space Mountain one… but @KathyM2 brilliantly pointed out a great theory – remember how I’d mentioned I was feeling pretty “doped up” on the Scopolamine? I think the proof is in the... picture.

By this time, @chunkymonkey and I were texting to decide when next to meet up. They had a FP for TSMM so were heading in that direction but we bumped into each other when I was en route to the Launch Bay! We're pretty good at bumping into each other at Disney!

We agreed to meet after their Toy Story ride, which gave me a chance to meet Love Interest #1. Before heading there, I first slumped past this…





Clearly, I was not amused by this.

In line for this meet, I saw a couple with “I love you” and “I know” shirts – okay, this has to be a requirement for anyone I date in the future. If you’re not willing to wear one half of that shirt ensemble in the future… politely remove yourself from my prospects, I'm not interested.

Once we departed company, I did something most sane people wouldn’t (but keep in mind I tolerate the heat much better than almost anyone else I know)… I walked to Epcot!

Believe it or not I JUST bought the "I love you, I know" t-shirts!! My BF agreed to a couples outfit one day, but only if it was star wars themed! I was so pleased to find these! Three weeks wait to find out if he will actually leave the room in it!!!!!
