Leaving items at a Disney resort during cruise

We are doing a split stay at Disney World before and after our cruise. It sounds like our bulky stroller we are using for the parks may be a space hog in our ship cabin.

Does Disney World have any guidelines on leaving items with the bellhops for multiple days? We will be doing Pop before our cruise and POR afterwards, does it matter which resort? We'd love to leave the stroller and maybe a bigger suitcase behind before heading off for the cruise.

I doubt they would allow this, as a policy for holding items outside of the resort stay could easily get overused & the guest wouldn't really be paying for the service. But I would still call to ask. A rental car would provide a place for those items, as well.

Suitcases fit under the bed on Disney cruises, fyi.

A storage locker is cheaper than a rental car.
Yes, it's cheaper for just the storage, but renting a car would also take away the need for those pricey Disney transfers to & from the ship for the whole family. That can save hundreds.

We are doing one way rentals for our cruise transportation so that won't work. Maybe we'll ask before checkout at the resort otherwise stow it away in our cabin while on the boat.

We've done it. We started at the Boardwalk pre-cruise and came back to AKL. We left a carry on and done groceries with bell services, who were very accommodating.

On some floors on the ship people often leave strollers by the elevators for the whole cruise. Or ask the attendant to help you put it somewhere.

We've done this, but it was club level and the CL concierge handled it for us. They made it sound like it's not common, but they agreed since what we were leaving was all sealed and easily replaced so they knew it wouldn't be a huge hassle if it was lost. We left something like a case and a half of bottled water, some sealed snacks and stuff like that (it was all from a GGrocer order).

Back in 2012 we did a split stay at BLT and BWV with a 3 day cruise in between (one week at each resort). We asked at bell services on check out from BLT and they kept our suitcases and groceries in between so just took our carry-ons on the cruise, bags disappeared at BLT and showed up at BWV, no idea where they were for the 3 days. The general impression I got was that it was uncommon and they were happy to accommodate.

We asked about this when we cruised in August, but we didn't feel like we could count on being able to leave stuff at the resorts. We ended up bringing a small umbrella stroller from home, and doing 2 separate rentals of a citi mini double for our WDW stays. We used the umbrella stroller for any time we went ashore, and it fit under the bed in our cabin.

I've taken a lightweight Maclaren stroller in years past, but depending on the size of your room and size of your stroller, you could have storage issues. The staterooms tend to be pretty snug.

We did this last October. We took our bag to bell services at Coronado, explained that we would be on a cruise for a week and returning to Port Orleans French Quarter. They tagged it to head to long storage at POFQ. We got a claim check for when we got back. Very easy, no problems.
