Just back, highs and lows

Although we didn't eat at any of the higher end restaurants this visit, we have many times in the past. I think you're really paying for the surroundings and theme that the restaurant has rather than the food.

For example, Inventions buffet in Disneyland Hotel is the most expensive buffet you can have (I think). You pay the premium for the setting, inside the hotel and the character interaction. The food is very similar to that at the budget hotels.

We also loved Walts and have been very lucky to have a window seat overlooking Main St several times. Being able to eat whilst watching the parade at that height is wonderful - that's what you're paying for. Also love the theme of Bistro Chez Remy - wonderful inside.

Eating out now is part of the experience in DLP for us, not just having to grab something from the nearest place. It's lovely taking time out for a relaxing meal. If there is somewhere special you want to eat, make sure you book in advance as they can get busy. We tried for Bistro Chez Remy and couldn't get it on this visit because we hadn't booked.
