I already know the next two days are going to be no buys because I won't be near any stores and because yesterday I had to get a new gym membership and the startup fees were high enough to stop me from buying anything for a while! The gym falls in my exempt category so that's why it's not included in the list above.

I messed up my days somehow! I just corrected it and am calling today to keep me from running to the thrift store on the way home from work. I purposely haven't unpacked my thrift finds from last week, so each bag I pull out of the car will give me a new dopamine hit as I review my haul. . . :D

Received the dresses I bought on the 6th but am going to be returning them!

Ok I have zero discipline in following this. Today we had several large thunderstorms move in that caused flash flooding. So I had every intention of going to a favorite boutique that is closing to buy things I don't NEED but want. But the road was closed to the store and I just came home instead.

We're only halfway through the month! Plenty of time to reach some goals. :)

June 14 - No buy #9
June 15 - Went thrifting. . .but I got a brand new, never been used oil free/air fryer for $10; the model is on the shelves at Walmart for $100. (I also rifled through a shopping cart full of scarves 2/$1 and found a cashmere scarf and what I think is a real pashimina scarf. It's crazy thin, definitely cashmerey type wool and has a Nepalese tag on it. . .could be a knock-off, but we'll see. In the part of town this thrift store is in, there's a good chance it's a real pashmina. The cashmere scarf is 100% real for sure.)

I need to retrain my brain so I am jumping on late (better late than never). My problem right now is I have no bills so I'm treating my entire paycheck like disposable income - not good. I am not going to go backwards because what is gone is gone. I'm going to try to get through the rest of this month without spending any money on anyone else. I think I am biting off more than I can chew but acknowledgement is half the battle.

Just do your best! Have you spent less this month?

I've spent a little more on groceries than usual. Food is definitely a category where I can cut the cost. I also had that new gym membership that I started this month, which is in my exempt category.. but still! It just means I need to watch the rest of my spending a little more closely.

Never too late to start!

June 20 - Bought/Kinda' no buy - I bought a t-shirt for a conference I'm attending in July, but it's a fundraiser to pay for coffee and such. . .not sure if that's a buy or not. I did NOT give into temptation and buy anything else, so I think I'm calling it a no buy, because if I hadn't contributed by buying the shirt I would feel crazy guilty, and I will totally drink my weight in coffee at the event, more than paying for the shirt (and I get a nice shirt).
