Funball, we are looking forward to the SD portion of our trip for sure! No, we are not staying at the Del, but a block from there in a historic inn, but in one of their updated out buildings, the main part of the hotel is a mansion http://www.gloriettabayinn.com

We are going to San Diego in the first part of our trip, as soon as we get off the jet and get our bags, we'll be taking a shuttle or cab to the train station and taking Amtrak to SD, then another cab to Coronado Island, where we plan on relaxing before our wild Disney week! We'll be about a block from the Hotel Del, so we can cross the street and get to the beach. It sounds great, we can't wait! I thought that doing Universal on the day of the Grad night would be good, since the park will close early that day anyway...

Wow, that sounds good! We're actually going to stay in Carlsbad, but will visit SeaWorld and the zoo along with Legoland. Also hoping to spend one day to see San Diego since I've never been.

Good point about Grad Night, we may do the same. We only have 3 day hoppers for DL during 5 full days there (one day for Universal, one day to visit family), I hope that's enough. I know it'll be crazy with the new rides opening up at that time.

Mouse13 has finally made a decision on lodging. My crew will be staying at the Residence Inn Maingate. I want to be able to walk to the parks and I love their pool. It's getting closer and closer and we're getting more and more excited. It will be so great to be back at DLR!!!!

I'm finally going to Disneyland! I've been to WDW countless times and have been to Disney Paris three times -- but this will be my first trip to California! I'm visiting my brother and sister-in-law - and as soon as I set my dates, they booked the rooms!

We'll be there June 22-25; staying at the DGCH! And then it's to LA to the Magic Castle! I am sooo excited!

Any advice for this newbie are greatly appreciated!
