My daughter read something about a candy lady at Japan. What exactly is this and when does it take place? Also there is a baseball exhibit there, where is this located and what is it? Thanks for all your help!

The baseball exhibit is gone, but it has been replaced with one about tin toys, which is still neat. If you walk straight into the pavilion with the store on your right, the museum area is straight in front of you.

There is a woman in Japan (Miyuki) who sculpts the most lovely creatures from a taffy like candy. She takes requests for the figure to make, and then gives the little sculpture (on a stick) to the person for whom it was made. She is very talented and quite funny! She appears throughout the day. Check the posted schedule when in Japan.

The candy lady does several shows each day just outside the Mitsukoshi department store. The candy is kinda like molten taffy on a stick that she forms into little animals. Pretty cool for kids, cause they get the treats!
