Day Two – Expo & AP & MK
So, I woke up with a stranger in my room. But it was fine because
@Princess KP came baring gifts of Ketchup chips and Ice Wine.
We woke up and sat on our balcony enjoying some coffee, while our neighbors next door was smoking some pot. To each their own, I guess. We were watching the group chat and talking about what we wanted to purchase at the Expo, which motivated us to finally get off the patio and start getting ready.
@Keels showed up with some Mimosas (bless) and we enjoyed those before braving the Expo.
We get to the Expo and get in this long line that I am just not accustomed to, but Keels grabbed us some beers while we stood in line.
The Expo was relatively painless minus the insane amount of money I spent. Oops. But first Marathon, first Dopey, YOLO. As I was in line to buy my Expo stuff, I turn around just in time to see
@rteetz walking in heading straight towards Keels. So I yell “PANDAAAA!!!!” because I am nothing if not embarrassing to my friends, you’re welcome. But he says hi to Keels and she tells him to run before I have a chance to embarrass him further. Haha.
Guess I'm gonna do this thing!
We went back to Poly to get a Rose Margarita that Keels said I had to have. And she was right, it was delicious. I wish I had one of them right now…
Then we started texting
@rteetz to see what he was up to. He tried to bail on us, but we promised him food and fun so he showed up at Poly to hang for a bit. Me, Ryan, and Karen decided to head to Magic Kingdom so I can get my Annual Pass (whaaattttt) and have some MK fun before our dinner reservation. Keels is an MK hater and was living her best life at the pool bar so she stayed behind.
This MK trip was short and sweet but we made sure that we rode everyone’s favorite rides at MK and that was a pretty great thing to do with new friends.
First up was Karen’s favorite ride: Dumbo!
Followed by Ryan’s favorite attraction: The Country Bear Jamboree! I know we give him a lot of crap for this, but both Karen and I hadn’t seen it and when Ryan explained ~why~ it was his favorite it made it that much more meaningful. You do you, little Panda.
And then to kill time before our Space Mountain FP+ we rode The Peoplemover.
Followed lastly with Space Mountain which is one of my favorites! (Ryan told me where the camera was but I clearly don’t know my left from right….)
It was getting late and we had to get going to our dinner reservations, so we said goodbye to MK and their pretty Christmas tree and headed back to Poly.
We freshened up and got to California Grill juuuust in time. Keels worked her charm to get us an extra seat at our table for
@Bree and in turn somehow got us the best seat in the house! Right by the window & facing the Fireworks -- it was perfect.
For dinner I had the Filet of Beef with Risotto and a glass of Faust Cabernet. It was all very delicious and the waiter asked me if I was over 21 which was very flattering.
Thank you Justin, yes I am.
We had a great time at dinner and Carol even got a cute picture of us! (But seriously Panda, don’t do the cheerleader pose ever again.)
When we got back to the room Keels had a surprise for me and Karen – a Good Luck Dopey Cake!!!! We were so stuffed from dinner that we decided to save it for breakfast which was a good choice.
After we got all of our race gear out for the morning, it was time for bed. Sure, it was a little late, but it was just a 5k….
