Is Universal doing away with Pass holder hotels rates?

$71 for Endless Summer many weeknights in December. That’s practically free! ;)

For comparison, the Disney annual pass rate for the All Stars is $126.
Great rate! Wdw prices are ridiculous.
Yep. We are doing a Univeral/Disney split trip; and the Deluxe resorts with "FastPass" at Universal are $100 LESS than a moderate at Disney. Sigh.
IMO Universal hotels are always priced lower than WDW in each category and offer more.
comparing Values, Moderate and Deluxe amenities Universal wins every time. One year we did a Portofino/Grand Floridian split stay. It was fun and did enjoy GF but Portofino was a lot cheaper and better.

From the old pinned thread, it seems like Universal has offered APH rates for the Christmas holidays in years past, but that thread ended in 2021, was that still the case for 2022?

Universal was so busy in 2022 that the hotels were booked out far enough that they didn't offer many AP rates. There was so much pent up demand for travel that hotel prices went through the roof. You could occasionally find AP rates for mid-week during slow times. There weren't many discounts for the weekends, summer, holidays, or HHN.

Demand has slowed down in 2023. They're offering buy 2 days get 3 free tickets, 3 extra months on annual passes and way more AP hotel rates.

2022 and early 2023 were the post COVID “revenge vacations” when many were desperate to take vacations no matter what the cost.

We’ve returned to normalcy now, when price matters.

Thanks - I will cross my fingers that some discounts for the holidays are coming.... hope springs eternal ?
