Is it too late to add a day and change dining plan?

I made reservations last week for my upcoming trip in early March. I am about 40 days out. When I made the reservation I paid in full. Is it too late to change my dining package and to add a day to my trip? I do not want to incur additional fees for making changes And it is so tedious to get through to a reservation specialist I don’t want to waste my time if I will have to pay an additional fee for changes. Obviously, I know there will be an increase in cost due to an additional night. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you make changes that cost more, yes, of course you will pay more, whether that be an additional night if available, upgrading the dining plan or upgrading tickets.

Usually if you're making changes that make the package more expensive, you shouldn't be charged a penalty (adding a person, adding a night, adding a dining plan). However if you're making a package cheaper, they will charge you a penalty

Thank you. This is what I was meaning. I was wanting to downgrade my dining one level but add a night to my stay. It would help offset the cost but would still cost more in the long run.

Also I think the deadline for changes is 30 days (at least on my package it is) so it shouldn't be an issue to modify things. The only wrinkle might be if they have to book a consecutive reservation for the one night. You should be able to merge them into one stay there's always a chance that they might not be able to.

As long as changes are made prior to the 30 day mark, you will not incur a change fee (even if the total cost decreases). With that said, for changes made less than 30 days from arrival, you will be subject to a change fee. However, as the pp mentioned, the fee is usually waived if the total package cost increases.
