How you guys all got together. You all have such great chemistry on the show. Did you meet through the DIS? (yep, I'm nosy) :listen::listen::listen:

How did this great group get together???... "Enquiring minds want to know."

I can give you the readers digest version :)

John and I were first on the scene when the DIS first began. At that time, we were involved in a relationship and were living in New Jersey. Bob was next - he was an early adopter on the forums - one of our first moderators in fact. Bob and I first met face to face right before the sites 2nd anniversary - we've been great friends ever since. Corey was hired in October 2001. He had very limited experience in web design, but his art portfolio was amazing. He was hired as a graphic designer, but he does much more. Corey has been one of the most amazing collaborative partners I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He and I make a pretty good team.

Kevin and John became involved in 2001, and Kevin is an obvious long time Disney fan. His talent was too obvious to ignore, and he's been working with Dreams Unlimited for about 4 years now. Of course we can't forget about Julie - she was introduced to us thru Corey obviously, but she really became part of our team when we did the Dreams Video Trivia challenge last November.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks so much Pete!!! What can I say, I'm a woman...I like to know all the details  What a great team. I have started going back and listening to the older podcasts and they're great but I really love the current format. Julie's sweet voice balances things out perfectly.

I also want to thank you. My DH is on an anti-terror team. All day long he's bombarded with negative images and information. Our annual trip to WDW is his one escape. Well, in the past few months he's been pretty stressed. I've recently started having him listen to the podcast with me and he loves it. He says it's a great way to just forget for an hour. He really enjoys it and it really relieves his stress. So thank you from a soldiers wife.:thumbsup2

Oh and by the way...Happy Anniversary:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I wondered too! Thanks for filling in the gaps Pete!

How cool to know the background of everyone! I think you guys are a great team and mix of people. It's awesome that one common love can bring people together. I remember from the first anniversary show that John used to work for Disney, and I've heard Corey say he was a lifeguard at Disney, did any others on the team used to work for Disney?

There was a DIS podcast from 4/3/07 where Pete talked about the history of the DIS. It was very informative.

I think there will be more info about the history of the DIS coming up soon.

. . . and a "Part 2" to the 4/3 discussion in the 5/1/07 podcast. kabbie is right: it's very informative, and I'd even go so far as to call the two installments inspiring. I'm looking forward to the next.
