FIVE 8/15 Mailers were listed today on the marketplace for $80 each. They all sold in less than 2 hours. Just a reminder that these will expire on 10/14 if you happen to obtain one.

As a reminder - any more explicit discussion of this belongs here - thanks! @palhockeymomof2 and @havaneselover have shared some interesting info over on that thread in recent days!

Just popping in to say that I plan to put a VERY LARGE dent in my MSR for the Amex Hilton Biz because I leave tomorrow (driving) with my 12yo son! He hasn't been in almost a year and he is very excited. We spent some time today moving his pin collection from his old lanyard to the new SW one I got him last time (those locking pin backs are killer to remove... obviously!) and are finishing up getting packed.

I just put the rental car on the card, plus will be adding hotel and upgrading my PH to a signature AP (first time for me to have a signature... usually I'm a deluxe kind of girl but with at least 2 more multi-day trips plus at least 2 day trips coming up, it's worth it this year).

Happy churning, everyone!

One of my regular WMs has a dedicated money center that's super quick. The other one was a combined money center/customer service that's an absolute nightmare. There's also a super grumpy cashier that's always working there and last time I asked to load a Serve card he told me they couldn't do that at the money center. I couldn't help myself, I just looked at him and said "that's literally wrong, but ok" and walked away. There are a couple super laidback cashiers in the lawn and garden section at that WM though, so they'll load for me in there.
Sounds like our money center! busy, customer returns, and all the grumps.

Booked the NCL Getaway today for a 11 night Med cruise summer 2021! In *only* some 600 days! 😆 Most of the other cruise lines haven't even released their schedules, so maybe we'll end up switching to something else. But there's a 20% past cruiser discount now, so I wanted to get it booked. That's on top of the ~10% discount the TA is giving. Itinerary looks great. I feel myself getting a little emotionally attached already, lol. Sails from Rome and goes to Kotor, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos, Naples, Florence, and Cannes.

Departs on a Thursday and back on a Monday, so will be doing both pre and post-cruise stays. Definitely want to make it to Venice. Was there on a budget group tour some 20 years ago and have wanted to go back since. Went to Rome that trip too, but my impression was hot and crowded. Threw a coin into Trevi Fountain while wondering if I really want to come back. Hopefully with more time to wander, I'll like it more. The trip to Santorini before kids is so perfect in my memories that I'm a little afraid to go back, if that even makes sense. We stayed a couple nights. It'll definitely be different as a cruise port.

Taking my mom and aunt, so we'll be 6 people. Hoping to get apartments through the Chase portal. Not too sure what I'll use for flights yet. But with 6 people, guess we'll be in coach with the peasants, lol.

:offtopic: but honestly can't figure where's the best place to search/ask. Do ADRs still affect your Fast pass windows? I haven't been to WDW since 2016 so haven't kept up with the tech changes. It used to be an issue where it wouldn't let you schedule a FP within a certain time of an ADR, so I kept ADRs on another account separate from our room& tickets. Should I still bother?
I totally can't remember where I was following this stuff before, I thought it was in with FP+ info but I didn't see it off hand in the FAQ type threads. I am so behind on land based trips :)

We loved our Baltic cruise this summer on the NCL Getaway. Very nice ship, lots of fun stuff for everyone, no problems at all with cabin or crew. As always on NCL, the live music was absolutely stellar. Hope you love it too!
That's awesome to hear! My one concern from reading reviews is the smoke from the casino wafting to other areas. What was your experience?

I remember reports of issues and notices of overlap when FP+ first rolled out. I have not had anything like that happen recently. I have plenty of FP+ overlapping ADRs in my MDE right now (sometimes I like to jump on a ride RIGHT after lunch and then walk to a neighboring ride and use the next FP+ at the beginning of the window).

Excellent, thanks! I didn't want to assume not seeing it meant it went away - it could just be so known that no one thinks to mention :)
It was definitely when it was rolling out and since I already had a separate account and don't do many ADRs, I just kept doing it. It'll be a change of pace to actually use MDE as it was intended this trip

depends on how the designer sets up her payment option. most companies have payment processor, so they take the fee themselves. if your sending it paypal to paypal then its different, u both take the fees. You send it as a friend, only u pay the fees.

keep in mine though, ur probably gonna pay her less than $1500. (like $1460 cuz 3% fee... $1460+3% fee = $1500)
Thanks for breaking this down. Her PayPal account didn't charge me for services, so I was able to make an even $1500 payment. But she had told me upfront that she gets charged 3% and I'm responsible for the fee, so I gave her a check for the remaining balance plus fee.

I’d be scared too the way the Eiffel Tower is so curved!

Or is it different in real life than the side view in Soarin? 😀
It’s not curvy but there are spotlights that glare ...and twinkle lights on the hour after dark that make going down a wee bit more challenging! I had a firm grasp of the handrail and am not the germaphobe some are but still washed my hands three times afterwards 😀

I’m not going to lie. The sky liner incident has me a bit concerned about our trip in Jan. We are booked 1 night at Gf, followed by two nights at Pop. We are traveling Marathon weekend. I chose Pop for the Sat and Sun because we will be hitting HOllywood studios the day of the full marathon. I thought the Sky liner would be a good choice to avoid delays of getting to the park instead of using buses due to all the road closure.
Of course, now I am stalking the Disney and Aa portal to see if I can switch to an Epcot resort. There is nothing available for 2 nights in a row. I don’t know how comfortable I am doing 3 moves in 3 nights. Plus it will add a few hundred $ to our trip and every dollar spent in Jan. is a $ less I have for our Disney cruise in 2020.

Ok, maybe I should ditch the whole United to DLR thing. 🤣 Alaska is an option and this is so cute!!

But... the Toy Story livery is outside and you’d be sitting inside.

A little disappointed with checkin this morning. B1 and B7. Not bad but will be after the family boarding which doesn’t worry except when we go to Orlando. I was hoping with the early morning flight the plane would not be full. Guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Was that with Early Bird or without?
