Hong Kong Refurbs?

Was thinking of visiting HKDL in 2020, but there seem to have been quite a few announcements about things being refurbed, including the castle.

Does anyone have a summary of what might be down/refurbed long term over the next few years?

I'd still like to go sooner rather than later, but would be good to weigh up what we might miss...

It's hard to predict when the castle will be finished since it may face additional delays but don't expect it to be done before mid 2020. Most attraction and show maintenance tends to happen in between events (ex. between the Chinese New Year and Spring events) but not always. Shows are likely to undergo maintenance for about 2 weeks each year while rides may be down for about one week every other year.

HKDL has a lot of private events though so certain lands may close or have shortened hours especially in the late summer and fall. Both HKDL and Shanghai don't have refurbishment schedules publicly available unlike Tokyo making it hard to plan around attraction refurbishments.

Thanks for the information.
Does it tend to be you don’t find out about refurbs until they actually happen then?

Perhaps during the Spring event would be a good time for likelihood of everything being open and the weather being decent... does the event make the park extra busy though?
