Has anyone ever taken a boat from Hilton Head to Savannah? We are going there in July and want to do a day trip in Savannah, but I was thinking taking a boat might be easier. The one I found looks like it only gives you four hours there though. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

Also, would love tips on dolphin excursions. We want to do one and I'm not sure if booking the one at the resort or one off-sight would be better. We will have a group of five adults and two kids.

My in laws did the boat to Savannah...told us not great for kids. Boring ride. And for them not enough time in Savannah.
We drive to Savannah every year for dinner and to walk around. With kids I think that is the way to go.
