Here is a video of a REAL 1 bedroom villa at Riviera

Resort very nice. Rooms meh, they look like they wanted them to be elegant but did it on the cheap. Don’t think we will be staying anytime soon.

I realize everyone has different tastes, and some people will really love this resort.

For me, it was pretty uninspiring.

To me its all about location. And its location, even with the Skyliner, does not equate to its cost. I would stay at the GF every time over this, hands down. Now if the points cost lower I may be inclined to check it out.

It's about 20 points cheaper a week than the Grand Floridian. At that price, it seems like you're better off just staying at the Grand Floridian.

Thanks for posting! I think it's gorgeous. We loved VGF, but did not like the location. We spend most of our time in EP and I also didn't like that we had to walk to the main building at GF to access everything. We are staying in a Riviera 1-bedroom at the end of this month and I am really excited. The location plus the fact that all of the amenities are under one roof is really appealing to us. We typically stay at BCV or BWV, but I think Riviera may go on heavy rotation for us depending on how it continues to price out compared to the other EP resorts.

Liked the bathrooms.

My wife and I both laughed at the "amazing view" OF A PARKING LOT and the top of Spaceship Earth! Amazing, simply Amazing!

I assume you might, if you lean way, way, out, be able to catch a partial view of the fireworks. I certainly hope this is the standard view, and not the preferred view!

In all fairness I wasn't a fan of her video due to her just not being informed. There is defiantly a max at 5 persons and I hope she was misinformed about that being a preferred view. We did buy here due to the styling being a modern French style we love and want our home to be like when we build it so makes sense that we fell in love with the resort. I just wish someone would show the complete resort walk through

I was staying at BWV and near a 1BR villa that we saw the guests get evicted from because they were over capacity. We saw the manager, housekeeper and security there waiting to escort them out and heard them talking about being over capacity. The housekeeper turned them in. The door was propped open and we could see in to see airbeads all over the place in there, like barely any room left to walk around.

The rooms are more beautiful when you are in them, but they are definitely simple with clean colors and design.

She has a view of Spaceship Earth and I’m sure Epcot fireworks. I’d pay preferred points for that. Don’t most of BLTs theme park views have visible park lots?

The points chart is definitely high, but not waiting for a bus to two parks and having a shorter walk in the Florida heat is worth it to me.

And sorry to anyone who loves it, but GF reminds me of a caricature of “grandma’s house.” I’m always expecting to see mass amounts of doilies. Not in the DVC rooms though. Those are gorgeous.

So how does this compare to the remodeled SSR?

SSR is my home resort, and this makes me biased of course, but I like the SSR remodel over this. Even so, hope those who stay/own at Riveria have a great experience!
