Happy 15 Entrance

I saw photos of the entrance to Disneyland from yesterday (AFTER Japan holiday break) and it was absolutely packed. We're staying at the Disneyland hotel so have the Happy 15. Is there a separate entrance or signs so we'll know where to go? With the Happy 15 is it still advisable to arrive 30-60 minutes before opening?

Saw this so it looks like there are 2 entrances but....does this mean that not all attractions are open to us? How do you know which are open? I'm not very confident about getting any info from the people at the hotel.

Admission to all areas of the Park will begin 15 minutes before regular opening time at two points in the Park*2. After this, Guests can enjoy designated attractions and get Disney FASTPASS tickets.

There's pretty large signs right outside the Disneyland hotel with arrows pointing to the Happy 15 entrance. It's to the right when you face the park from the hotel. At Disneysea it's the far left lane at the South entrance. You may need to ask a CM because this one is a bit harder to find.

At Disneyland, you gain entrance 30 minutes before park opening while at DisneySea, you gain entrance 15 minutes before park opening. On extremely busy days, DisneySea may let Happy 15 in early. At Disneyland, you have access to Astro Blasters but I have seen Monsters Inc open for Happy 15 on busy days. At DisneySea, it's Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror but that may switch to Soaring.

If you just want to ride something and grab a FP before the main guests, arriving shortly before they let Happy 15 in will be fine. If you want the best spots for shows or want to take pictures with Mickey, Minnie, Duffy or ShellieMay without that cutting in to the main part of your day then you should arrive early.

It is also clearly signposted for Miracosta. We arrived 30 mins before opening both times were fine. It'll give you a FP advantage and a ride on standby on a high crowd day. We got lucky one day and managed 6 rides or so before the main crowds hit.

The Happy 15 crowd will look massive but it moves v quickly.

Thanks! During that time can you get a FP for ANY ride that has them available or do you have to stay in certain areas? We're not interested in Astro Blasters so not sure what to do in DL.

You usually have to wait until the park officially opens to get any FPS .people wait literally In front of the machines until the right time, since CMs are very strict about this

The signs are VERY clear and will even have the logo for Happy 15. They will give you paper slips to enter the Happy 15 line when you check into the hotel, so if you ever need help and there is a language barrier you can always point to the paper slip. The cast members are extremely nice, so don't worry about ever getting lost.

There are cast members holding signs directing you to the right route. The DisneySea one is a bit confusing and we needed to confirm with a CM. It’s basically quite straightforward.

I used Happy 15 twice at Disneyland. Easy with CM's holding signs. For me it was right under the monorail station while everyone else had to enter to the right side of the plaza area.
The first time I waited in front of the FP machine at Monsters and we had to wait right at opening time to get the FP's. The second time I waited in line at Pooh. The CM's allowed us to get a FP a few minutes before opening time. But that is probably rare.

Hi Gelatoni fan! Question about Duffy and ShellieMay meet and greet. Does the Meet and Greet open at park opening? Also, we will have the Happy 15, if we were to go straight there at park open, what can we expect out wait time to be, approximately? Thanks in advance

You can check the site for the times on the day of your visit: https://www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/tds/greeting/
Duffy has two meet & greets. One is in his Latin American Greeting at the Greeting Dock. That will probably be like 15-20 minutes during Happy 15 and rise to 45ish within an hour of park opening.

The other is his outdoor greeting (these get cancelled in bad weather). If he appears in his sailor outfit, it'll probably be like 20 minutes at Happy 15 and then rise to 90 minutes within an hour of park opening. ShellieMay will probably be 15-20 at Happy 15 and around 60 minutes an hour after park opening.

If they have seasonal outfits, ShellieMay will be around 20 minutes at Happy 15 and will likely rise up to 90 minutes within an hour of park opening. Duffy will usually have return tickets issued with a time of day that you can return to meet him. The wait to receive a return ticket is usually like 10 minutes at Happy 15 and can take like 30 minutes within the first hour of park opening. They're usually all gone within two hours of park opening. Your ticket will have a return time written for when you can meet Duffy and a number on it. You return at the start of the session and line up according to number. In low crowd days, they won't issue the return tickets in which case Duffy will be about 30 minutes at Happy 15 and rise to 2 hours once the park opens. Depending on how quickly the line grows, they may cut off the line.

WOW! Thank you for the very through response. it is very appreciated. Duffy is a very high priority for my 10 year old! I am guessing they wear season outfits for halloween time. One last question, you mentioned an outdoor greeting in his sailor suit, where is the outdoor greeting located?

The outdoor greeting location varies but is usually the same location for each season. Sometimes it's in the area between Cape Cod and the stairs towards the bridge/Fortress Explorations (Follow the line for Cape Cod Cookoff performance and see if there's a line near the little shed area near the stairs). It can also be in the plaza in front of Tower of Terror. Other times, it's near the globe fountain. If you have the official app, it'll be have the character greeting symbol where he is.
