So we got home and I discovered we were missing the two boxes with the artwork. (I had put all the artwork in the boxes). I think I set them on the floor while I decided where I could fit them in and overlooked them. I’ve been in touch with DCL lost and found but heard from them for the third time yesterday and no luck. I’m a little sad but that’s the way things go. Usually DH goes through any room we leave very carefully, but for some reason didn’t this time. It figures.
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that :(
We did leave a few things behind (on purpose) because we simply ran out of room (as it was at the airport we had to pay an overweight fee on one of our suitcases because we were unable to redistribute the weight!). By accident the only thing we left behind were the two dinner menus we got from Rapunzels; somehow we managed to get all the other restaurants but in our haste to cull things down we recycled every copy of each menu except for one of each and somehow both Rapunzels ended up being recycled, all copies we received. I know it's not the same as leaving those frames behind, however! This was our first time on the Magic and we all just really loved Rapunzel's so dh and I were actually quite upset about this, as silly as it seems!

I kept both of ours, so if you would like the two from Rapunzel I would be glad to send you our extra one.

Oh that's such a kind offer, thank you! But I don't want you to have to fuss around to send those up here to Canada, it's ok! But thank you!

Hello cruise buddies. Trying to figure out where to hang our frames. I laughed at bcwife76 post as we probably could have left the cruise (just kidding) after our first gift bag. The excitement of the tervis was laughable by my wife. She was so excited. Still a little bummed that we didn't make it to boston as our visit was two fold as the parks and rec. were out of a decal that my son wanted when we visited boston in August and had hoped to get it for him this time and we were planning on going to cheers.
Anyway I think my mom has stolen our book as she loves to read all the stuff compiled by Don Hahn:rotfl2:. What an incredible set of stories and presentations by him.
Thank goodness we weren't flying as we would have been over. Luckily the bus driver didn't say anything until we got back to baltimore he was like good lord whats in here lol. Need a new hanging bag as several of the seams split :( It was a samsonite as well so won't be a cheap replacement. Well rambled enough but wanted to say hello and see how everyone was doing.

One last question/comment. Our first night at animators palate we didn't get to keep our menu's. Did anyone else experience that?

Yep our first night at animators they kept the menu's. Probably by accident
Yes I would think it was just a genuine mistake. They get so used to taking the menus once you have ordered. Our server did that for the first 3 nights and we laughed about it every time. Then I think on night 6 I tried to give it to him and he's like "haha, nope, you get that remember?" :rotfl2:

Check your emails everyone! Just got an email (well, 4 of them!) with a $30 gift card per person for missing Boston! I'm assuming this in lieu of getting the port fees refunded. Still, very nice gesture from Disney :)

Can you explain please how to use what was printed? There were three in my room, only says $30.

Did you get 4 emails? Each one with a different name on promo card?

We missed two ports due to bad weather on the WBTA. We got nothing, as far as returning port charges.

Thanks so much for the post - the email had gone to my suspect email folder, I’ve got it now, very generous of Disney and a nice thanksgiving surprise!

You can print it off and use it at the Disney store, on the cruise, pretty much anywhere in the parks. Or you can use it to pay off a cruise balance (the bar code is printed at the bottom of each email). I received four separate emails because there were four of us, each of them addressed to one specific person. But I don't think it really matters whose name is on there. I'm planning on using all four to pay towards one of our 2020 cruises.

Ok, I understand! Thank you. There were five of us between the two rooms, and we each have now something addressed to us. :thumbsup2

The email is from Member Services so this may be a DVC thing and not a DCL thing.
And thinking about it, we actually were in port in NYC for a day and night. That certainly cost a lot of money! We missed two ports in Canada.
