Welcome Home! I don't think you will regret your purchase. We bought sight unseen in 1995 after staying at Port Orleans for our first WDW visit. And this was not even seeing the presentation. We had been looking at timeshares since the early 70's and found out that this provided the flexibility we needed. Costing this out (I am an accountant), using the wonderful accomadations at the resorts, we felt this was a good investment. Plus it assured us of having a family vacation each year, something hard for families to do given our lifestyle today. We have stayed at Disney mostly at OKW, but have stayed at Boardwalk, gone to Vero Beach and this past July, went on the 7 day Magic Cruise. We hope to investigate Hilton Head next year. We have never been disappointed and do not regret our decision a bit. You will not find this a bargain if you compare it against the lower priced resorts, but if you compare like resorts, plus the ability to vacation in a vacation home, compared to a hotel room, I think you like the most of us here will soon be asking....."How can I figure out a way to get more points"...again Welcome Home new Members! We live about 85 miles from Hilton Head and visit 4 or 5 times a year. Not always Disney, although I do prefer it over other resorts there. I want to add-on at HH soon. I was born in Walterboro and still teach school there. Feel free to email if you ever have any questions.
Hilton Head isa beautiful place, but we also like Edisto Beach not far from Charleston. It is only for those who want the beach without commercialism. No motels or restaurant chains at Edisto. Only a quiet, family beach.
