We will be on the Dream in less than 2 weeks and have a question on dress policy for Palo. Have they either officially or in practice, revised dress code?

Specifically, for the Mr., is a pair of nice (not cheap) designer dress jeans, and dress shirt acceptable ?

There was a time where they would politely send you back to room to change. Is there recent guidance here?

The dress code for palo changed a few years ago to include nice jeans as acceptable attire. Here is the code from Disney's website for Palo:

Dinner and Brunch
  • Men: dress pants or slacks and collared shirt; jacket is optional
  • Women: dress, skirt or pants with a blouse
  • Jeans may be worn if in good condition (no holes)
My husband always wears a nice pair of black jeans and a collared shirt with no problems.

They did 'revise' the dress code a couple of years ago. It now says:
Dress Codes for Palo and Remy, Adults-Only Restaurants for Guests 18 and Older

So that we may provide an enjoyable and refined dining experience for all Guests, please be advised that tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes are not permitted at Palo or Remy. We thank you for your understanding and your cooperation with the following dress requirements

At Palo: The elegant northern Italian-inspired dining venue aboard all 4 ships.

Dinner and Brunch
  • Men: dress pants or slacks and collared shirt; jacket is optional
  • Women: dress, skirt or pants with a blouse
  • Jeans may be worn if in good condition (no holes)
