Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We're staying at Poly CL 11/25 to 12/5. We're taking the MK Train Tour and we need to be at the main gate at ≈7:15 am. We're wondering how early the Monorail runs this time of year.

If it runs early enough I'm hopin' we can take the Monorail. If not we'll probably drive over to CR and walk from there.

Mike

This website posts the weekly Times Guide which has monorail hours: http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/p/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides.html?m=1

Generally speaking it has been 7am these days, but that can vary on a few factors so make sure to grab the Times Guide when you are there just in case.

You’ll want to be at the platform and through security so you’re catching whatever first monorail is available that AM if it is in fact a 7am opening.

Since that’s kind of tight and no room for error, you may want to make taxi/uber/Lyft to CR or Minnie Van to MK plan A if you want more control over your exact timing.

Hope that helps!

Just checked out of BWI & sitting in the lounge waiting for our Tragical Express. Always a little depressing but made better by knowing that I'll soon see my little Brewster (Maltese) a ND that we'll be back Deck 2019. We made the plunge & booked a BB offer. Hoping (I know nothing is guaranteed) to score another BB when we come back for 2020. Brining the kids & grandkids then. If no BB offer then no worries. We'll still be at Disney.

Check out Day is the worst!!! But the best part is planning your next trip!! Something to look forward to!!!! Hope you had fun!

So SL, about the only thing I can tell that’s any different is they moved the CM desk and kids TV in the lounge. Also added a small extra counter by the food service area. All of this could have been done prior to the temporary closure in the summer, not sure??

New carpet too. Second photo sure seems brighter than the first, but may just be my phone and better camera.

I like the new arrangement better but I still kind of don’t like how close you are to people in the lounge if you need to discuss anything with the desk CM. No other options though as there just isn’t space for separation here.

Thanks for the picture comparison. The desk looks even more awkward now.

For the first time in forever I purposely did not put in any room requests. My last SL room was in the middle/atrium and I had some minor gripes about noise from the lounge below. I decided to just leave it in the room assignor’s hands for this quick trip.

Sure enough, I get an infamous “dormer” room with the vaulted ceiling. The vaulted ceiling is nice but I think I’ve read that these rooms are slightly smaller (not sure?) and the dormer/smaller balcony isn’t quite ideal. Although I’m glad to have had one just to see what it’s like.

I was on the third floor toward the end of the hallway. Super quiet. Opposite of our middle room experience.

Said dormer balcony. These seem to be about half the size of a standard GF balcony.

Hi everyone! I just purchased my first AP(yay!!) due to the fact that we have an upcoming trip in November, a trip in March for my nephew’s Disney wedding(also yay!!), and because we can fit next year’s annual trip into my AP window. (Disney math at its finest!) My questions for all of you are about reserving CL rooms with the AP discount:
-How quickly will I need to jump on the CL discounts when they are released?
-Do some resorts always immediately sell out of CL rooms? If so, which ones?
-Are there any tips I need to know about this process??

Thank you so much for your input! I’m super excited about the thought of some potential CL trips that may get to come our way bc of this. I already told DH that we need to plan an anniversary CL trip bc of the AP...And so it begins...:-)
So happy for you! Disney math is the BEST! I bought my first AP because I wanted a pricey purse and that 20% discount made it feel better. If you have future trips planned already, you really can’t go wrong. AP discounts seem to be some of the last discounts offered. I had a BWI CL room booked for September with the Enchanted offer. Mid-June they offered AP discount and I rebooked at that rate. I would recommend booking what you want when available and not waiting for AP rate since your room type may not be available, or as was the case with this last round, not as good or the same as general discounts. I was lucky and picked up a better rate, but I have read others did not have the same luck. I snuck 4 trips in my 1 year window. I found myself always searching for cheap flights since I already had tickets...lol. Enjoy.

Congrats! We were so excited the first time we bought our APs and can't go back. We love the discounts. Although this summer did not have good AP room discounts. We book the rooms and when the discounts come out we try to apply the discount. We usually are able to get the discounts but again that was in the past - things change so rapidly at Disney. Enjoy the APs.

@GADisneyDad14 , loving the photos of the ‘refurbished’ lounge and your dormer room! Can’t wait to see photos of the food, too! :lovestruc

Thank you both for the advice! I will definitely keep it in mind. We are so excited!!

Congrats on your first AP purchase! I bought my first AP this past June and have almost broke even with just that one trip! I didn't get an AP discount on my room, but did save quite a bit on dining (10%) and merchandise (20%). I have another trip booked for end of Oct and I'm thinking ahead to possible trips for Feb, April and May :D.

AP discounts are like other discounts in that they can/do sometimes sell out quickly, so jumping on them right away is a good idea. With that said, if what you want isn't available at first, keep checking as availability can/does sometimes change. I agree with Lovingallthingsdisney that I would book what you want and try to apply a discount later because if you wait, you run the chance of the resort/room type you want not being available. Have fun planning and enjoy your AP :goodvibes.

Thanks for the pics, always enjoy seeing them! Sorry about the dormer room, but glad it was a quieter experience this time around :).

I agree, can't beat Disney math! The 20% merchandise discount is great! I, too, love a few of the Dooney purses and getting a discount definitely helps ::yes::.

We were so excited the first time we bought our APs and can't go back. We love the discounts.

I just bought my first AP in June and I've already been thinking about renewing next year...lol. The room discounts aside, getting a 10% discount on dining and 20% on merchandise is good in itself. Room discounts definitely help, but like you mentioned, sometimes the AP discounts are less than general public discounts....so you can still get a good room rate if AP discounts aren't the best ;).

I think the best way to do this it to get to the CR and go from there. We'll have a rental so I'll just drive over there to ensure we get there on time.

We just returned from the YC and it was an amazing trip! I changed our reservations a lot between BC , BWI and YC trying to get the best AP rate. We got lucky that YC was the winner! I was very impressed and it put the Poly to shame. I got a call a few days before our arrival to ask about our trip. Our room was ready when we arrived at 9:00 am.

It was crazy in the lobby when we arrived and the manager ushered us over to check in and then we were escorted up stairs. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and several nights the managers and chefs were discussing the food options and asking guests for feedback. We are not huge eaters and found breakfast and appetizers more than adequate for meals. This morning they had a mimosa bar at breakfast!

We would definitely stay here again! My husband asked if I could swap our reservations in December for here. Hoping BWI is just as great!
