Disney World tickets no longer listed on Air Miles

It could be because Disney is nearing their annual "price increase time of year" so they are being careful about only selling as many as they have available (They might do a bit like "Undercover Tourist" does and they pre-buy or have a certain allocation that they sell before they apply the price increase).

Price increase happened last week.

Thanks for the update.

So it could be exactly like I suggested then; Disney has increased the price but AirMiles still has X amount of tickets remaining at the old price and they are just being careful to only sell the amount they have remaining before they increase the price.

Planning on going in November.... really hoping tickets through Airmiles are available soon for then.

As of right now:

Valid for arrivals through September 27, 2019.

:(

@petbren they are back up, for now.
Yes, I saw, however, they now have to be used by Sept.27, 2109.
Unfortunately, our trip is in November.
If they don't post more with a longer expiry date, before out FP window opens, I will have to pay cash.
Have used Undercover Tourist in the past, but would prefer to not pay with actual (US) dollars.:crazy2:

HaHa, I just posted the same thing... what are your dates?

Ugh. We are going for Christmas. Will wait and keep hoping some reasonably priced anytime tickets will pop up. Really wondering if I should just switch to AM Cash. Sigh.

I’m really interested to see what happens as well. I’m saving up all my airmiles and Optimum points and credit card rewards to hopefully fully fund a late 2021 trip with rewards. Right now I have our cards set to Dream for tickets and flights. I may have to switch to a combo of Dream and Cash if tickets become ridiculous or obselete with Dream miles. We are really starting to rack up some airmiles so I’d like to plan my strategy soon. Feeling a little impatient.

Looks like this just went up today (or at least I didn't see it yesterday). Jump in Air Miles from 4500 to 5995.

@Zakery thanks for the link

I might be in the minority but I dont think the price increase is as bad as it could have been.

4500 is/was the price for the Canadian Resident discount, right? So the airmiles needed is based on the regular gate price, not a discounted Canadian one.

I WISH they were less but I guess it could be worse

I'm actually okay with the point cost my only wish would be that there was an option for fewer days. I'm probably going to use this but it means I'll have an extra day I don't use. Although I might try to go an evening during the conference I'll be at prior my Sisney days just to make use of the extra day.

Yup, I totally agree. I wish there was a 4 day pass

I ran over here to tell everyone but apparently this is old news haha !

Yep , I agree, the point cost is not as bad as it could have been and I’m ok with it. Thrilled? Nope. But it could be worse.

Sorry to steal your thunder. :)

The 7 day flex ticket is 6400 AM which works out to about $670 value if you use the 95 am for every $10 ratio. The flex ticket on the disney site is $627 USD which would be about $840 Canadian. So the AM tickets do seem like a decent deal.

That's the math I just did :) It's much better math than a couple of years ago when it was about the same as using cash miles.

I am curious though - where did you find the price for the flex tickets? I plan to upgrade mine to annual passes so need to figure out how much 7 day flex tickets would be worth. I poked around but couldn't find anything on the Disney site. I did find reference to the $627 on some discount sites though.

After you choose a date for your 7 day ticket, it takes you to the next page to customize your tickets or add options. It's under the add options. Not sure if it will show up in the link below or not.

Ouch - an extra $100 to make it a flexible ticket - might as well buy a normal ticket and then apply it to whatever the new ticket price is after it "expires". Certainly makes the AM tickets more worth it.

If u take out the value of the flexible tickets, an average 7day base ticket would be about US $515.44 or CAD$688.09 for which we would pay CAD670 worth of Air Miles.

Thanks for posting, I guess I should have been paying more attention to my original post!

Not a bad increase, and saves me a tonne over paying cash.

I will only have enough miles for one of the two I need, but being DVC, I may just buy a Gold AP for $609 as it gets photopass and more discounts for our whole group
