Disney Wonder November 29, 2019 Double Dip from Galveston

School is out for Thanksgiving the week before we cruise but we couldn't pass up the back-to-back at CC so we decided to take the week after also. The teachers probably wont be happy and we'll have a ton of make-up work to do but like I told my wife, the kids wont stay young forever. Anyone else doing this?

Our boys are older now, but we’ve done it. We also got the nasty gram from the ISD, but the teachers were fine with it. Our boys each wrote a brief report of what they did. It is so worth it! Our boys still talk about their cruises, and they haven’t been on one for 9 years.

Did I just see right that the Wonder is going to be in dry dock before our cruise? It said between September 9 and September 30, 2019. Wonder what changes they're planning this time?

Don't think anyone knows for sure yet what changes the 2019 dry dock will bring but we would love to see Vanellope's added and would be really excited if they installed magic portholes. I would be surprised if they added either but one can hope. While we are tossing coins in the wishing well we also would love a "Minnie" golf course. Wishes aside, most people are saying it will probably be just some routine/required maintenance and freshening up with no major changes.

Hi! We will be booking this cruise when we are onboard the wonder on September 30th(1 month left)! The Nov 29 from Galveston will be my boys and I's 5th and my honeys 6th so we will be Gold! We couldn't resist the 2 days at CC. We are from the San Francisco Bay Area, my boys are 10 and 14 and my honey and I are in our late 30's. Anyways, HI!

:welcome:Ya, 2 Castaway days are what we are really looking forward to as well. Our girls will be 4 and 6 when we set sail next year. It will be our 4th Disney cruise so not gold yet but getting there. We are also looking forward to conch fritters in Key West. We are from Texas and love that Disney is offering a double dip out of Galveston. Only 452 days to go!

Can"t wait for the cruise. I can't believe we have to wait a whole year. Can someone tell me how to get involved in the Fish Extenders. Sounds like something my grandkids would love. We will be taking our 5th Disney cruise and have never done it.

:welcome:The way we have always done it is someone on this thread decides to be in charge of the fish extender gift exchange and takes the names of those wanting to participate. No one has stepped up to organize it for this cruise yet but hopefully someone will. This will be our fourth Disney cruise and we have done the Fish Extender gift exchange on our last two cruises. Our daughters will be 6 and 4 on this cruise and on our previous cruises they loved coming back to our cabin and checking for gifts. They also were excited to pass out our gifts and see everyone's doors and fish extenders.:)

I quit counting a while ago, so I don't know how many total I have taken. This will be our first out of Galveston. A 45-minute drive to the port will be beyond great! I am looking forward to being back on the Wonder.

:welcome: We live in North Texas so it's a longer drive for us but we love not having to fly. We have been on the Wonder 2 times out of Galveston with no problems. Hopefully the same goes for this cruise. Can't wait for 2 days at Castaway.:)

I don’t mind organizing the fish extender group when it gets closer. I can’t wait to be on the Wonder again! 333 days!

Awesome! we want to join. Please, let us know when you start the list. How was your Sept 30th cruise, anything new on the Wonder?
