Disney Wonder departing Puerto Rico docking Port Carnavel

The odd thing about that cruise is that a birth certificate is not an option. You will need a passport, passport card or a trusted traveler card. You can fly to/from Puerto Rico using the same ID as a flight within the 50 states but there are additional requirements when going by water.

We did this repositioning cruise in 2017 as part of a B2B.
What are your port stops?

We did this cruise this year and loved it. It definitely went by fast though. Boarding was a little crazy in SJ, we were in line outside for about an hour to go through security. I think boarding at PC is a little smoother.

I’m happy to answer any specific questions.

Nothing odd about it. The cruise stops at Castaway Cay. You'd need a passport to travel by air from San Juan to Florida, if your flight stopped in the Bahamas en route.

It has nothing to do with stopping at Castaway Cay enroute. Any cruise that begins in one port and ends in another requires a passport.

We will be on this cruise. We will be doing a B2B. We are doing the seven day Southern Caribbean cruise and then the four night cruise back to Port Canaveral. The four day cruise stops in St Thomas and Castaway Cay.

:welcome: to the Dis!

You are going to love this B2B we did it in 2017 and it was great. Its very port intensive for sure.
We did something in every port except the 2nd St. Kitt stop on the repositioning, we were pooped and just enjoyed a day at the pool.
The water there is so beautiful the shades of blue and green are like nothing we have ever seen.

Have a wonderful time!

We have cruised the Southern Caribbean and stopped in St. Kitts. We really enjoyed it and you are right; it is very port intensive. This time we are going to Aruba, Bonaire, Antigua, and St. Maartin. We have never been to Aruba or Bonaire and St.Maartin is our favorite island in the Caribbean. It seems like a seven day cruise is not long enough. When we had the opportunity to do a B2B and extend our cruise we jumped on it.

Not if it's a US-flagged vessel, the two ports are both in the US, and the vessel never stops in a foreign port, which is the comparison the other poster was making with an airline flight.

I agree. A U.S. Citizen/LPR Only needs a passport if going to a Foreign Port.

We are doing the 4 day cruise on Wonder. The stops are st Martin and Castaway Bay. What excursions would you recommend? This is our first cruise!

It depends on if you have children with you. If you do not have children with you we recommend the 12 Metre Regatta. You get to participate in a 12 Meter Yacht Race. It is about 3.5 hours of racing fun. If you have children with you the two flags tour is fun as you get to see both sides of the Island, French and Dutch. Some nice beach tours are offered.

Oooo the 12 metre regatta sounds fun but we will have 2 children with us. I’ll check into the two flags. I have planned many trips around the world but feel so clueless with a cruise. Lol
