My mother is coming with us to WDW in December. She is generally mobile and walks with a cane. What’s problematic is that she can’t stand still for long periods of time due to a hip/back issue following knee replacement surgery, but she can walk with her cane just fine. She’s adamant about no wheelchair or ecv, as, again, she’s generally mobile. Her concern is not being able to stand still in long lines. I mentioned that we may want to talk to guest relations about the DAS program. In people’s experience, is this the sort of thing that could result in a receiving DAS? I don’t want to put her through (what she will perceive as) an embarrassing conversation with guest services if Disney won’t accommodate us in this situation.
