Destash 2018 Bust the Dust

Thank you! I have a whole closet of toys I haven’t let go of yet. My school does a holiday “shopping” time for our students so I’ll probably donate them to that.

Where did you move to in NC? I’m sorry if you posted this before! We are planning to go to the Charlotte area. Maybe the SC side, we’re going to check it out this summer.

We had come down in August to check it out and moved right after Thanksgiving. My daughter adjusted real fast, hubby is coming along but I'm having a hard time. I'm used to a fast pace of things happening and I'm finding myself becoming impatient in the job market here.

Yesterday, I gave books to my sister, books went to my SIL roommate. 2 small bags of things went my SIL. DD is now home for the summer she brought out more clothes that she does not want. So a bag went to a coworkers kids and a bag went to donations.

So today I was able to get rid of the following:

2 expired condiments from the fridge
1 pair of PJ bottoms
1 pair of socks
1 pair of sneakers

We are having a Rummage Sale in June.
My daughter gave me bags and bags of her clothes and my grandsons baby clothes.
She is having a girl in August, so she sorted thru it all and kept the gender nuetral baby things.
When I got home I posted the 8 washable diapers that she thought she wanted to use.
I sold them in an hour on Facebook.
I sorted the rest of the clothes and bagged up over 50 items that I knew would not sell for Donation.

This past week I discarded an old towel and a t-shirt.

We are in the last weekend prep before DD’s graduation next weekend. My mom and my oldest DD are flying in next week so the house needs to be done by Tuesday.

I just finished cleaning out DD’s old room and have a crate of things she can look through when home. Whatever she wants, we will drive out to her when we go visit later in June.

I took a load of donations and recycled leftover paint this week and DH got rid of a stack of pavers sitting in the backyard. I need to post a toy organizer and get that out of the garage.

I’ve also been pitching and organizing stuff at school to prepare for next year. I’m getting a better handle on what to keep so that I don’t store all kinds of school stuff at home anymore.

We had a garage sale yesterday so lots went out. Foosball table and air hockey tables went this morning. I have the back of my SUV filled to drop off tomorrow or Tuesday, and DS will drop a few things (home made teacher resources) at the dump. Wow, I spent the better part of the weekend, tag items for our rummage sale in June. It sure is a lot of work. We had record heat in Wisconsin 97 degrees, which is so unheard of. Our air conditioning sure was working hard. But I spent a lot of time in our basement, which was super cold.

20 items pretty much went in the garbage that I didn't want to sell at our Rummage Sale.
Old socks, undergarments, stained t-shirts, and a stained shirt.

Good news, I thought I lost my camera, my favorite jean shorts and my favorite white cardigan sweater. I have been looking for these items for weeks. I found them yesterday in a bag that had a bunch of books that my daughter gave me for the rummage sale. So I saved money, I was ready to go out and buy a new camera.
I was so excited, my dog wondered what was up and we high fived.

Yesterday I was able to sell the treadmill that has been housed in the den and used for a clothes rack for far to long :)

Home from our son's wedding. Can I add the amount of money that went out of our pockets.
I have 2 daughters and 2 sons and all 4 contributed to the cost of their weddings. We paid for the girls weddings and gave the boys a good sum of money each.
No, they all did not get married on the same day, but 3 did get married all in the last 9 months and the first got married 3 years ago.

Cleaned garage last night to get ready for rummage sale next week.

Garbage:
2 towels
1 ice scraper
1 pair of winter boots that leaked
Son in laws grill equipment that was rusted
2 garden containers
