DDP Tipping

We are veteran Disney travelers, but our upcoming May/June trip is the first time we have ever gotten the DDP. It has never been financially worth us for it before. When they added the alcoholic drinks, it made it marginally cheaper than if we didn’t get it, so we decided to give it a try.

I know the DDP does not include tips. When they bring your final bill does it just show what credits you used or is the cost of the meal included on the bill so that you can properly calculate a tip? I know the tip can be charged to the room.

The bill gives you suggested tip amounts as well as how many credits are left.

The cost of the meal is on the bill as well as suggested tip amounts based on percentage of your total bill as well as number of dining credits left. All of the info that you need.

You will receive a full bill to start, including prices. After you pay with credits, you will recieve an updated check with those items covered by credit entitlements zeroed out. If you are the type to tip based on the check amount, you may use the original check as your baseline for prices.

And of course, you may pay the tip (and any non-covered items) using any standard acceptable payment method, e.g., cash, credit, room charge, etc.
