DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Boston....hmm you could just make a short 8 hour drive to get back to the Commonwealth, it would just like being home but without the Brexit worry.
:rotfl:Can I come over now?
So... does that make you incontinent?
Stay safe and dry.
So these 2 quotes work quite nicely together...….

The town has a "pub crawl" for St. Patty, those of us in the public service have dubbed amateur night. One of the 2 nights I dread working.
I can imagine. I would think there will be some of pkondz's "incontinents" around in the later stages of that.

Happy Friday gents. DW and DD are off to a dance competition this weekend (@pkondz you probably know it - 5678)
So I get to be a lone wolf for the weekend, but unfortunately a dry one since I will have to be chauffeur to shuffle them back and forth between dances.
But I'll make the best of it. My diet shall consist mostly of pizza and wings for the next 48 hours. I will try my best sneak in some rum when safe to do so. And perhaps a green beer on Sunday.

I'll probably take the opportunity to see Captain Marvel too. Anyone seen it yet?

Construction of Tron
Not impressive. Doesn't look like that great a ride. Disney usually does better.
Maybe it's the new track for Tomorrowland Speedway: Smash Up Derby Edition

Calling it. Last one to the Abracadabar is going to have a less than magical night. Last one has to take home the Queen of Hearts.
And let me tell you, you don't want to know how she'll get your head off.
Nicely done sir.

Hopefully we won't wash away with all the flooding going on around here.
Hope you have a good weekend and manage to stay dry.

Temp in 40s. Tennis cancelled.

Sadly, Disney's rides have been underwhelming. Sure, FoP is a good ride and theming is good at 7DMT, but Disney was different as it created rides for the family. I know I'm fatter, but my knees still fit comfortsbly on the other rides.

Morning boys from Lego towers. Not much on today, a quick store visit to the flagship in Leicester Square and then maybe a swift half of ale.
Couple of catch up meetings apart from that, so not too taxing. I'm in Boston 5 Jun and 6 Jun on the galactic off chance that anyone is about.
s.

If you send me some flight tickets, then I'll be there.

Hey Norm, I have a quick question for you, did you make your own sourdough starter or get it somewhere?

I made my own. I got tired of keeping up with it though.

You can have her. I didn't care much for Abracadbra Bar. What are your thought on the 4 EPL teams in Champions League?

Morning gents, hoping the weekend finds you all well. Mine is starting off with a bang, DD7 is home from school with the flu and I get to work this weekend which should prove to be exciting. The town has a "pub crawl" for St. Patty, those of us in the public service have dubbed amateur night. One of the 2 nights I dread working.

There was a dive bar in Louisville 25 years ago called the Bambi Bar, that gave a free drink for people on their 21st birthday attempting the bar crawl down Bardstown Road. Not sure they still do that or not. Good luck.

I'll probably take the opportunity to see Captain Marvel too. Anyone seen it yet?
y.

Not yet, but considering this weekend. After Endgame, I'll stop the Marvel movies in theater. Infinity Wars was good, but I didn't care for the ending. And, it costs too much money. I'll catch them free on Netflix.

But I'll make the best of it. My diet shall consist mostly of pizza and wings for the next 48 hours. I will try my best sneak in some rum when safe to do so. And perhaps a green beer on Sunday.

Well done. We salute you!

Yep, saw it last weekend. It's standard-issue Marvel, meaning it's fun and entertaining.

Hope nobody was in the path of the bomb cyclone yesterday, that looked nasty.

Was just on the outer fringe of it. Just enough to close highways and put a whole bunch of cars in the ditch.

Boston....hmm you could just make a short 8 hour drive to get back to the Commonwealth, it would just like being home but without the Brexit worry.

We have an open door policy. You could join all the others walking over.

planning on taking the oldest to the movies for her 3rd birthday.

Whatcha gonna see?

DD7 is home from school with the flu

sorry to hear that. Flu + littles is not good.

What is the other night?

Looks like to me, that Doc is working on getting himself a Nemesis!

I'm not understanding that chief.

I was saying it was actually his Friday too which is rare.

::yes:: That's the way I took it, too.

(@pkondz you probably know it - 5678)

::yes::

Not only do I know it... I've performed in it. :)
DD's team usually did well enough to get invited to the "international" competition. We went to Vancouver and Niagara Falls for it. Bit of a joke, but... good enough excuse for a trip.

So I get to be a lone wolf for the weekend, but unfortunately a dry one since I will have to be chauffeur to shuffle them back and forth between dances.

Darn. So close...

I'll probably take the opportunity to see Captain Marvel too. Anyone seen it yet?

Getting good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Youngest DD (18) saw it and she said people were walking out of the theatre... but mostly younger generation. The one guy (late Sunday night showing) who was closer to our age was laughing and enjoying it, she said.

Maybe it's the new track for Tomorrowland Speedway: Smash Up Derby Edition

Or "Tomorrowland Speedway: Monster Truck".

Nicely done sir.

Thanks. :)

So here I was looking forward to an evening of pizza and wings when my Mom call at 3:00 and says "Oh, I know you would be home alone so I made you spaghetti and salad for supper".
Seriously...moms.....

 Moms... they never stop being... moms.

Temp in 40s. Tennis cancelled.

Why?

You can have her. I didn't care much for Abracadbra Bar. What are your thought on the 4 EPL teams in Champions League?

1. I don't want her! That's the point!
2. Only walked through it once. Seemed like an okay place. Liked the theming.
3. Rarely watch soccer. Used to watch the Bundesliga but haven't in ages. Will watch World Cup, of course.

Yep, saw it last weekend. It's standard-issue Marvel, meaning it's fun and entertaining.

Good to hear. Prior to that, only had DD18's revue... which is slanted. I loved Bohemian Rhapsody, she hated it.

Thanks, Think I might try to make and bake and not worry about keeping it going.

An easy one is

1/4 cup Warm water and package of active dry yeast (let sit)

Mix 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk

Add in yeast mixture and stir (no metal spoon)

Play with daily.

Yes, the Abracadabra bar was themed well, but the service was reprehensible. The Belle Vue Lounge is right around the corner and so much nicer.

Wouldn't it be worth giving another try? Whenever I've had exceptionally bad (or good) service, it was an individual not the establishment per se.

If the theming or the food (or drink) is exceptionally bad, then that's more a systemic problem.

That applies to your city, but not Disney. There are so many other options available to try, that if one is bad enough, it goes to the bottom of the list. I really like seafood, but the time we went to Flying Fish was terrible. Even though we stay at BWV most often, we have not been back to Flying Fish. Maybe if we lived nearby......

Morning All.

Snow has been melting pretty fast but it seems to have brought me a head cold. Good times.

DS hit a pothole last night and I think he popped the tire. He stayed at a friends place last night so I'm waiting to see the damage. Good times

Coffee is good though.

Thank you, Sir!

Don't forget you have to play with it daily.
