Day Trip to Universal

WE will be at WDW in October, and were wondering what the best...cheapest...way is to access Universal. I heard the shuttles are expensive...true or not? How about cabbing it? Any idea of cost on either of these options? Does Yourride do this sort of thing? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yourride does do this. We booked our day trip from WDW to Sea World. It costs $45 roundtrip. There is a $5 off coupon on their web site.

If you make reservations far enough in advance, there are a couple of places on WDW property where you can rent a car for one day (we ususally use National at the MK gate). Since you wont have luggage, you can get by with a smaller car, and also use the extra mobility to stock up the old room/cooler at Publix while you are out of the 'Kingdom...

good luck (you're gonna love the Hulk coaster and the Spider Man ride...)

;)

One of the taxi cab companies sent me an email response that it would be about $45 to go from WDW property to Universal depending on where on WDW property you are. We are doing this one day in Dec and found the cheapest option (although it might not be the most pleasant) is Mears. They are $12 pp round trip. If there are only a couple of people this works out to be the least expensive way to go. Also, you need to call and book them a couple of days in advance and then call a couple of hours before you would like to be picked up from universal for your trip back to WDW.
