Day Resort Cocoa Beach?

We fly out after a Dream cruise at 7 p.m. in September. There are six adults (3 middle age and 3 older adults) and two teens. We have a rental car and were considering doing a beach day at Cocoa Beach, but some of the party may not want to spend the day in the water. Are there hotels at Cocoa Beach that do day rooms?

Any other ideas for something to do? I checked with Hyatt at MCO, but it will be $500 plus tax for two day rooms there. Four of us have Disney Annual passes, but we would have to buy tickets for the other four, and trying to keep costs somewhat reasonable after a week vacation. We talked about Disney Springs (and will probably do this if nothing else works out), but the thought of walking around all day in the September heat and then boarding a plane isn't super appealing.
