I haven't paid attention to the new menu at BoG since it hasn't been on my radar for a few years now. While it's a neat venue, I never thought the food was all that good, and I'm much more about the food than the ambiance after I've eaten there once before. I've had dinner there twice now, so I'm pretty good with it.

Yeah I'm not clamoring to go back anytime soon. Maybe if they change their menu to items that I'll be more inclined to order I'd go back.

That package totally sounds worth it, for the private safari alone! Amazing!!! And all the other things you get with it is the icing on the cake

I have to say out of all our meals at WDW in October BOG was disappointing, a huge waste of money (and it's not cheap). Plus our server was borderline rude Bummer.

Oh bummers, that's so awful about the rude server. BoG is not high up on my list anymore. I think maybe for breakfast or lunch it would be ok but no longer dinner.

Followed along on your birthday trip on Instagram, can't wait for the TR on that one! Also I will be pming you to bend your ear later this year about our upcoming cruise from NY and where to stay if you don't mind. I think we are going to fly in and out of Newark (best flight prices and times out of Vancouver) but I'm out of my depth travelling around NY lol

The private Safari sounds like a great opportunity to get to focus on your favorite animals! I would love to try that package sometime! BOG dinner doesnt appeal to me as much. The dinner options dont seem the best, and you are right. It does seem like a cafeteria in there, 100%.

We loved the package. I think it's a great way to experience our favorite things at AK in a different way...the VIP way!
BoG dinner was ok, so we're not clamoring to go back anytime soon. I wish we sat in the Library/Rose room instead!

Thanks! It is from Arribas Bros. you can find it at Disney Springs or in the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot. One time I even saw a cart near Pirates that sold their jewelry too although I haven't come across it in the last 2 trips. I think they also sell them on shop Disney online. My niece got me the Mickey one a few years ago and I loved it so much I went and got the Minnie one myself!

Haha I think it is always a kid that does the giraffe. It would be so funny if the kid actually did know the sound a giraffe makes though! (Maybe from a previous viewing of FoTLK)

Yeah that was a nice surprise! On our Wild Africa Trek on our most recent trip, we saw all the baby animals, Agustus, Stella, Aella....SOOO CUTE!!!

It really sounds like a valuable extra. Not sure if I would do it with my whole family though.
I have a lot of things I would like to do if I ever go on an adults only trip.

Definitely a cool thing for an adults-only trip. I can see younger kids getting antsy with all the time in-between the activities. Not sure if we picked a too early lunch but it worked out fine for us considering we had BoG at night!

Slowly catching up on everyone's TR from being gone!

The Lion King/Tiffin dinning package sounded great. Very tempted to add it in August. That is if they are still doing it... Hmmm

And BOG dinner is so iffy for me. I would love to eat there again but the menu is the same for me, kind of meh sounding.

But for some strange and miraculous reason, our flight was the only flight able to leave Newark, land in Orlando, and then take us back to Newark. Damn it!!

Andy laughed that the post he put up about us leaving, everyone of my dis friends made a sad face and all of the "regular" folk made happy faces... We just look at things differently.

I gained back the 8 or so lbs I lost since our last trip...which only means that it was successful, right?

Ugh... I know what you are talking about! Andy found a picture from our first day and then the last day of him, he looks like he gained 8 lbs as well!

After the private safari Steve and I headed back to the BC for a shower and change. My sister who apparently has all the stamina in the world at Disney opted to just head straight to MK. We would all meet up later for our dinner at Be Our Guest!

What I don't love is how FAT my face looks! LOL, this was me about 8-10 lbs heaver last year.
Obviously eating and drinking at WDW all last week didn't help in keeping the weight off.

I have set a goal for me for our Thanksgiving trip. I just have to some how keep on track with the other trips in between...

It's a great deal! My fear is that they realize they may not be doing the usual Disney overcharging and then decide to up the price. This happened with the Star Wars VIP Tour in 2016...the price of 129 originally included the SW dessert party which was already 80 bucks, and the package was awesome! But now they charge a hundred bucks but no dessert party, booo.

It's reopening for summer and they have some new enhancements! I'm so curious to check out the Lion King stuff! i'm not sure I will get to go since I don't plan to be back during the summer and they will probably close for the season when I go back in the fall.

They assigned one to us after I booked the package. I can't remember if we knew which one we were going to beforehand. But they did say to reserve 5 hours for the whole experience. We spent about 2 hours waiting in between lunch and the show. Then the show and the safari are back-to-back. Hope you get to try this as it was a great package!

I get to pick for my kid but DH always has Opinions on which tees he wears. He wouldn't bring any of his few Disney shirts because that felt over the top to him.

Day 6 Part 1: The day I finally slowed down but not by much.

Today was our 6th day of vacation...how in the world did it go by so quickly? (Hopefully this TR will pick up the pace too LOL). This morning when I woke up, I noticed something was off...with every step that I took, my right knee would hurt. Ugh just what I needed! Today we were back at MK for the morning and we also had a Food and Wine seminar in the afternoon. That evening was also our VIPassholder night at Epcot. We had a full day planned and I did not want to miss out on anything!

This is not the first time my knee hurt. This knee has always given me problems since I twisted it in high school eons ago, so I just attributed it to that old injury and carried on with our plans.

We got ready and headed to the bus stop to MK. Hopefully I would be able to keep up that day.

We took the bus to MK and of course I was the slowest one. Usually it's CS! As we were walking down Main St, my sister had time to make a detour and get a picture with Tinkerbell at Town Square, haha.

By the time I made it down to the castle she had already caught up to us.

Our first FP was for Peter Pan so we headed there.

After our ride through Neverland I decided to have breakfast because I was feeling sorry for myself and I need a Cheshire Cat Tail. Of course I had to walk the furthest to get it and then walk back to Gaston's Tavern where we decided to sit and eat. It wasn't too bad because I was rewarded with a Cat Tail and the giant cinnamon bun!

Somehow my sister also found time to meet everyone's favorite guy:

So my sister and I were on a mission. So if you remember my Ohana Means Chunky TR, my best friend Kelly and her 2 kids came along with us. Her youngest, Mimi was chosen in Enchanted Tales with Belle to be Chip. Of you are a participant you get a bookmark! She loved that bookmark but unfortunately it got wet and disintegrated. So she asked us if we could get another one for her. No problem! Cool aunts to the rescue. However, it seemed like you could only get the bookmark if you were chosen, so between me and my sister we had 2 chances to be chosen because I wasn't going to sit through Enchanted Tales with Belle again!

So we headed there while Steve went on Space Mountain or something like that.

Luckily...my sister was chosen!!!

It was really funny, there were all these little kids...and then my sister. But hey, mission accomplished!

Good job Chunkysis! Mimi was ecstatic!

I believe we had BTMRR and mine train FP as well, but I remember not going on BTMRR and neither did CS as she got a bunch of PP pics instead.
So Steve went by himself.

I decided to feel even more forlorn for myself and drown my sorrow in more sweets. This time, the Maleficent cone. It was soooo good!

I believe we all did Mine Train but I can't find our picture so I probably just forgot to download it. After Mine Train we decided to split up and meet at Epcot for our afternoon Food and Wine Seminar "Kawaii Onigiri" which are cute Japanese rice balls you usually find in kids bento lunches. I was so excited to see what we were making!

Steve and I left MK and I waddled up to the monorail. Steve kept asking if I needed a wheelchair or even a scooter, but I am stubborn and I kept saying no. I guess I was trying to psyche myself into thinking that there wasn't anything wrong with me and it was just a minor thing.

Really, I was in de-nile.

THE FACE OF SOMEONE IN DENIAL

Since it took me forever to walk from the monorail into the park, I decided to get a bubblegum wall selfie. Steve takes the WORST pictures of me so I did not like any of the bubblegum wall pictures he took so had to settle for a selfie.

I had made a same day FP for Test Track later, so we decided to go to the DVC lounge and Steve offered to go get me lunch from the booths. Apparently only food was going to appease me today. #sorrynotsorry

These were both really good!! Thoroughly enjoyed them!

While Steve was getting me food I went to the Light Lab because that was the furthest I could hobble before he caught up with me.

We spent some time in the DVC lounge which was good because it started to pour while we were inside!
It only lasted a short while then it was back to being super hot again.

So of course Test Track was down so we decided to just do Soarin'! Also less of a walk for me.

As we were walking out Steve went to get more food and we ate in Electric Umbrella.
