    Great picture of you two!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Any chance you can track them down and have them follow us all in May :-)

They really do a great job with the theming here. Love the skillet!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I would have been dying!!!!!!!

Yum these look so good! I'm not a sweets in the morning person either but I can make an exception for fluffy pancakes!

You two look so cute and fresh early in the morning!

    Those look great!

It looks exactly like the Cheshire cat tail!

    Jam is life!

Is the strawberry compote similar to the one at Kona?

This looks so yummy but what is Sunday gravy? Definitely not a Canadian thing....

Oh my gosh, I am dying here laughing just picturing this whole interaction!

    super cute picture!

Loving this trip report so far... almost as much as CS loves jam!! LOL
Wow! Those new buses do look really nice! The round windows make it look luxurious.

Very nice photo! I'll need to try to remember to get a seat up front next time so I can make an attempt at it too!

I agree completely. I love Teppan Edo, but the desserts are soooo lackluster.

I feel the same way. 2 day is the best day!

These details in the ceiling.... The reasons we love Disney!

Your Bon Voyage breakfast looks really nice! Flynn Rider's satchel is awesome! He actually has the tiara! How special!!!!!

I can't wait until the next time I suddenly remember your TRs and come back to read a bunch of updates at once! LOL. :'D

No. I think we all know that this is Epcot. So we don't need a sign for...Epcot.

Do you mean cook with fire first, then eat the meat or is raw preferable?
Or does the order not matter when being "manly?"

    Right.
Although you would provide lots of entertainment to your family if you repeated it out loud.

    Agreed!

Was it like, 90s? I can't remember exactly as well. It may have lasted until the early 2000s.

Thank you! It's before the sweat set in.

    I know right???

It is so cute! I want to eat out of skillets all the time!

Yes you would have been cracking up hysterically at our conversation.

    I'm the exact same way!

    Hi Liesa! :)

Thank you! It was the only time we were nice and fresh and nothing had melted off our faces yet.

    They are so yummy!

Yes!! It tasted like it too but without icing. I can honestly take or leave the icing so I was a happy camper.

That is my sister's motto! :rotfl:

I haven't had Kona's in a while and the last time we got tonga toast at Captain Cook's it didn't come with the compote! Strange. But yes it is similar from what I remember!

LOL It's definitely an Italian-American thing. It's like a tomato-based sauce and usually it has all sorts of stuff in it, leftover meats, veggies, etc. Like an amped up marinara. Although their version was definitely just plain marinara with no meat but it was tasty and flavorful.

Haha, he certainly caught us by surprise!

    Thank you!! :)

Haha thanks for the love! My sister certain loves her jam.

It does! Like the cruise line buses which I find more luxurious than the regular ME buses!

I always try and catch it when the seat is available!

    Right? It's like an afterthought...

    :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Yes! I forgot to ask the first time I went last year so I made sure to ask this time and I wasn't disappointed. :)

LOL Glad to provide more Disney reading for you! :cheer2:
    Thanks for joining!

You should've been there when they put it up. You could've stopped it.

You women! Always so logical! Always trying to fix things!
    I could just cry!

Okay! I'll let you know how they liked it!!!

So glad you guys ate there and reported back on it. I want to take my daughter in April. I just found out about this breakfast and I was so happy because her favorite princess is Rapunzel and mine is Ariel.

I should have! I think they were trying to Mickey-fy everything.

Why are you crying? How can we fix that?

    And...?

It was so much fun! It's definitely a must do for you and your daughter! Food was great and the characters were so charming :)

Every time I start, they have to go somewhere else. I'll keep trying, though.

Day 3 Part 2: The Best Non-Signature Steak

Chunkysis and I headed back to the Beach Club to change after our amazing breakfast. Meanwhile, Steve was having a ball at DHS. He was there for rope drop and headed straight for Slinky Dog and got on with a 15 minute wait! He said it was definitely worth it to rope drop as the line got crazy long right after. He also did Toy Story and RnRC.

Here is Steve's SDD ride pic. The ride pictures are not always the best on SDD. Sometimes you are cut off and it's never flattering. But this one came out alright. Steve says it's because he's so good-looking. :lmao:

    And on RnRC:

CS and I headed out to the boats and I wore my favorite Mickey necklace. It is from Arribas Bros. in Disney Springs.

When we arrived at DHS, our ToT FP window was almost closing and so I told CS to meet Steve there because I don't do any free-falling type rides and I just made the FP for them, so I headed to do my own thing.

While they were busy...falling...I was busy meeting my galactic hero...

I am not sure what he was whispering to me but it wasn't Spanish! I love Buzz and don't get to meet him often because his line is usually soooo long in MK.
His line wasn't that much shorter here, but since I had nothing else to do...

And since I was wearing my aliens shirt I had to get a pic in front of AS2:

After they were done with ToT they came to meet me in TSL. Of course my sister had to stop for Buzz too even though she already met him.
It's like she's never met him before from her expression:

    [IMG] [IMG]

I dragged Steve over to AS2 because when we're both wearing alien t-shirts we must take a picture with...The Claw! And a little green parachuter!

    [IMG] [IMG]

It was now time for our SDD FP! Boy it was soooo hot today, we look like we're soaked. (We probably were). But we got the front row which was really cool!

    [IMG] [IMG]

It was our first time riding during the day and it was so much fun! You can totally see into Galaxy's Edge which was very exciting. I've heard some people complain about being able to see into Galaxy's Edge, and that it ruins the "magic" of being exclusively in Toy Story Land.
    Seriously?
You're in a theme park, get over it.
Or just don't look that way, ever.
But what boggles my mind more is that they would find something like that to complain about?!? They must have perfect lives.

The ride pictures on SDD are not the best, also they give you pictures of everyone in the ride vehicle, not just your car. So you have to sift through a couple additional pictures to find yours. Not a big deal but when you already have thousands of pictures in your memory maker from last year, it can be quite time consuming especially when using the horribly designed photopass site.
See? That is a legitimate complaint from a true Disney fan.

I also have this daytime ride video of Slink Dog Dash. Don't watch it if you want to be completely surprised by the ride if you've not experienced it yet. But I thought it would be fun to capture since we were sitting in front.

Our last FP was for RnRC:

Steve and I were trying to do our best "Vogue" pose but he is way more vogue than me with my mouth hanging wide open.
I cannot not scream when we take off! :rotfl:

We had some time before our lunch at Mama Melrose so Chunkysis went to take some character pics and we went on standby for RnRC because the wait was very short, I think it was only 25 minutes posted which is crazy for mid-day!

It apparently rained during those 20 minutes because the ground was all wet when we got out. Good timing!

We didn't have much to do so we just decided to walk around a bit. We were going to head to launch bay but then we saw my sister was next in line for Jake the Pirate so we jumped into the picture with her!

CS continued to take more pictures and we decided instead of Launch Bay to head to the Muppets movie right before we had to be at lunch at Mama Melrose since it was right there.

I made another pit stop to check Dee's Corner. @natebenma it's looking good and nice and empty for once so people don't stare at my strangely when I take pictures of them, haha.

Surprisingly, the Muppets movie was crowded, most likely because it had started raining again and people were probably getting away from the dampness and heat. When we got out, we were right on time for lunch at Mama Melrose!

Here's me just passing time and vlogging:

We ordered our drinks, and I got the lemonade with wildberry foam. We were also served warm rolls with olive oil and herbs. We also got a funny Mona Lisa "Grazie" card to thank us for coming to lunch! I believe there was a recipe inside it.

    [IMG] [IMG]

So we all weren't really that hungry since CS and I had a big breakfast, and Steve said he munched on snacks, so we just ordered 3 items and decided to share them.

    We got:

The Mixed Green Salad with fresh Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Artichoke Hearts, Feta Cheese, and Red Wine-Oregano Vinaigrette:

The Mama's Italian Pasta: Spaghetti tossed with Roasted Garlic, Tomato, fresh Basil, and Asiago-Herb Crostini. We decided to get chicken with this.

And my favorite Charred Strip Steak with Four-Cheese Macaroni with Pancetta, Aged Balsamic-Shallot Butter, and Chianti Wine Reduction:

Everything was delicious aside from the Mama's pasta. We all thought the chicken was bland and rubbery. The pasta was good but there was way too many tomatoes and not enough pasta so it was like chicken and sauteed tomatoes. There was a nice amount of garlic though, but it is not a stand-out dish. If you're here, I would just go for the steak!! It's really good and the mac n cheese is so creamy and delicious and all the flavors meld together really well. I think this is the best non-signature steak on property!

Sharing everything was the right call as we didn't feel too full after especially in the heat, plus we had MNSSHP that night and we didn't want to pass out before we get there! My sister was on a mission to get a picture with the 7 Dwarfs. I told her she had to go early and get on line. She got her serious face on and said "I'm on it!" :thumbsup2

We headed out of DHS and back to the Beach Club. I'm pretty sure it was still raining because I have no pictures so I was probably in my raincoat at that time. When we got back to the room, Steve and I just chilled for a few hours while my sister got ready and she headed to MK before us. She was on a mission and nothing was going to stand in her way! :cool2:

    Coming up...Dismeets at MNSSHP!

The girl in the front row is a riot!

    Awww!!!

Love this magic shot! GAM are the BEST!

    Truth!!!!

Thanks once again for checking on my corner. I shall award you the "Dee's Corner Caretaker Award" Great wide shot- like you said, not always possible when it is crowded and you don't want to look like a creepy stalker.

Thanks for the tip on what to order at Mama Melrose. Have not been there since a Fantasmic! lunch n 2010. The pasta with chicken does not look good at all. But YUM on the salad and double YUM on the steak!

    :thumbsup2

Not bad! Betting he walked pretty quickly.

I've heard that. I guess that's just the norm now for new rides.

I love how you laugh at that... you know you married him, right?

    Too kool for skool

    Pretty!

    I like your necklace, too.

    Aww..

    She's so excited! :goodvibes

This would seem to be a must.

You do know you can get the front row every time, right?

    :sad2: wow.

No kidding. Boo hoo! It's not 100% perfect during construction!!

    :rolleyes2

alas I am at work and can't see it.

    :lmao:

    That's short!

    I've done that!
When I went with my youngest DD... we walked out and the ground was wet and everyone had fled indoors. We went over to TOT and rode it twice with zero wait and then less than 5 minutes wait.
After we rode the second time, there was a line forming and about a 40 minute wait, so we zipped back to RNR where the wait was only about 15. When we got off that, it was back up to over 30 (don't quite remember).

"That child ain't right in the head, takin' photos of blank walls..."

    How was that?

    oooh, that looks good.

Umm.... I have read the rest of the chapter, but... as soon as I saw that I thought "Hmm... that looks more like a hunk of chicken with a little bit of pasta... and a lot of tomatoes."

    <drool!>

The chicken looks bland and rubbery. Where's the sear?

    Thanks for the tip!

 Hope she gets that shot!

I love your shirt! I'm definitely going to have to up my fashion game for the May trip!

Some people will just find anything to complain about :crazy2:

I just realized while looking at your pics that I don't have ANY pics of me on SDD, and I went on at least 5 times :confused3 Was I supposed to tap something? I guess I assumed they'd show up in my photos.

I'm confident that she is getting that shot, no matter what!

Steve had a very productive morning!

    Awesome meet!

The expression on her face is priceless!

    Sweet!

I love Chunky Sis's love of character M&G's!

    Everything looks yummy!

The salad and steak look delish but what is up with that pasta?? Definitely sad looking chicken!

    Love her determination!

Can't wait to see who you met!

We could not get fast passes for SDD on our December trip. It makes me concerned for the crowds, but are going to try to ride it at rope drop. We're going to HS on an EMH day, so hopefully we can get it done first thing. It looks like such a fun ride!

That's odd that you get photos of everyone on SDD. You would think they would have that figured out.

I'm actually looking forward to catching a glimpse of Galaxy's Edge! I don't need to be surprised when it comes to something like that. I agree that some people just complain way too much. I have co-workers who look for things to whine about.

I love Mama Melrose. The chicken parm is my go to dish there and the adorable spaghetti and meatballs cupcake is a winner with the grandkids.

I think SDD at RD works really well if you can be somewhat towards the front of the pack! We did it last month and had about a 20 minute wait which was awesome.
I love that CS even met the Disney Jr characters lol.

    This receives my "rant approval".

This is actually one of the better salads on property that I've seen.
