U.S. Military Personnel And Their Families Offered Free Two-Day Admission To Colonial Williamsburg
Memorial Day, July 4 and Veterans Day. Special Hotel Rates Available.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.-The town where some of America's first patriots helped inspire a nation is honoring the modern-day men and women who now protect and defend the nation with a revolutionary deal commemorating three of America's most patriotic holidays.

Active-duty, retired, guard or reserve military personnel and their families who visit Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area or museums over Memorial Day (May 31), Independence Day (July 4) and Veterans Day (November 11) will receive complimentary two-day admission tickets to the restored colonial capital of Virginia.

"Over two centuries ago, brave men and women came to this new land to establish a way of life built on the cornerstones of liberty and freedom, but it certainly was not without struggle and sacrifice," said Colin Campbell, president, chairman and chief executive officer of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. "Colonial Williamsburg is proud to recognize the members of our armed forces, and their families, who serve to protect our way of life today."

The complimentary two-day pass must include the actual holiday and either one day before or after. These tickets are available only at on-site Colonial Williamsburg ticket sales windows. The service member need not be present and free passes will be provided to immediate family members, with appropriate identification, of currently deployed U.S. troops. Throughout the year, discounted Colonial Williamsburg admission tickets also are available at participating military installations through the Morale, Welfare and Recreation/Information, Tickets and Tours Offices.

In addition to providing complimentary admission tickets, Colonial Williamsburg is offering special rates to military personnel and their families to be honored guests at any of its five hotels, the closest lodging to Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area, museums, dining, shopping, golf, children's activities and more.

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is the not-for-profit educational institution that operates the restored 18th-century capital of Virginia. The scope of operations and amenities covers a variety of hospitality businesses including the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, Williamsburg Inn, Colonial Houses Historic Lodging, Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center, Woodlands Hotels & Suites, Woodlands Conference Center, Governor's Inn and four historic dining taverns.

Williamsburg is located 150 miles south of Washington, D.C., off Interstate 64.
