Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I want to have dinner at WCC and then go to the sing along on our first night but I don't know how to plan for that since the time of the sing along isn't listed. Is there any way to find out? We will be there in May.

This is the right place, zomama.

In May, the fires are typically lit at 730pm to roast the marchmallows, the Singalong with Chip & Dale starts at 8pm, and the movie rolls about 840pm.

We generally have the movie list for the month pinned at the top of the Camping Board.

You can walk, bus, or boat from WL to FW which will put you on the Settlement end by Trails End and Hoop Dee Doo. From there you can walk or bus to the campfire area near the Meadow Trading Post. You can catch the Yellow or Orange internal bus lines at the FW Settlement bus depot and the bus driver will let you know which stop to use to go to the Singalong.

Have fun!

Do you think an ADR at WCC at 5:40 will be ok?

I would think you would be fine. In fact, probably right on time. As Ed said, the sing along starts typically around 8pm during that time, so you're looking at about 2.5 hours to eat and bus over there.

I think the issue is people driving over from other resorts or off-site and trying to park in the FW main lot to attend the campfire/singalong. Those folks are not being admitted at times supposedly.

If you eat at Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary, for example, and then boat/bus/walk to the Campfire/singalong at Fort Wilderness, there is nobody staffing a gate scanning MB's. It takes place every night at 7pm on the winter schedule (mostly Nov-Feb) and 8pm on the summer schedule (Mar-Oct).

That's nothing for him, Mane. He's an insider. A man with connections. He probably gave Deep Throat that name decades ago. :wizard:

His own name "Rusty Scupper" is in reference, so he has told us, to a sailboat of his in the past IIRC. But yeah, he's one-of-a-kind. Never short of opinions (most pretty informed and backed by data). I trust his WDW restaurant reviews. He's a man with a knife in one hand and a fork in the other (how he reaches for the keyboard at the same time is anybody's guess). :confused3

I met him once, twice, no wait at least three times and each time I came away with stars in my eyes not quite sure if my memory was playing tricks on me. He can be charming, insightful, painfully humble, shy all at the same time, and caring all in the same sideways glance. Just the crook of his little finger releases a flood of emotion.

However, he is a B1G (Big Ten/12) conference fan, so he's not perfect - there is that. Nevertheless, he is a nice man with a sweet DW. She must know how to keep him in line (which probably takes some doing).

Honestly I bow down to Mrs. Scupper. :worship: What a lady (met her too once).

Bama Ed

PS - but seriously, yes when he does provide some information, he is over the target.

Love the breakdown! Only issue is the expensive marshmallow/smores kit. 10 bucks is nothing in Disney, and the price is real cheap if you forgot your smores stuff and have crying kids. Just my interpretation.....your millage may very.

Ok I've been out of loop around here for awhile, 5.5 years from last trip and no trip planed:(, but what am I missing here. :confused3

I do see that parking in the FW overflow lot is an issue due to the moving of the security gates but that wouldn't keep a "day guest" taking over the boat from the MK.

chartle,

We've had reports maybe in the last year of people staying off-property in a non-Disney hotel who have reported being turned away by the guards at front gate. If a day guest is already in the parks and uses Disney transportation to get to FW, I guess there is nothing stopping those folks.

But it's the drive-ups guests staying off-property who have reported being turned away. No reports as of yet of on-property resort folks being told no.

I feel like I’ve been touched by a legend!!!!!

Rusty is a legend. A jen-u-wine Treasure. He would be fun to do a monorail crawl with.

Figured as much when they rearranged the gates.

Oh but want to add we have a new TT and hope to get there some time. Thats the only reason I still hang around here. :)
