DS (10) just had an MRI today because he has Patella Alta, his knee cap is sitting high on his femur, He has mild spastic hemipelgia cerebral palsy. He had a Achilles lengthening in both legs three years ago now his hamstrings are very tight and recently started to have pain in his left knee, hence the MRI this morning. His orthopedic surgeon said he will call us this week with his recommendations. I'm going nuts searching the web about patella alta and very tight hamstrings. I'm worried about surgery, His has been going regularly to PT and OT but it does not seem to be working.

Anyone have experience with knee problems like this?
