I love me some Madame Tussaud's. I've done NYC (back when they revealed One Direction, so it's been awhileeee) and LA. So far I think LA was my favorite, but Orlando is on my list to do. I love that they have props! The most I remember from my past trips was the sweatshirt at the ET bike, which you could not have paid me to put on.

Raeven, I’m chucklng as I love your pictures despite hating waxworks museums......

I did go to the one in nyc as my niece wanted to go.....but when we went to do the eye we didn’t bother with Madame Tussaud’s.......it does look better.......although I have no clue who Pitbull is........I’m old!!!! And I’ve never have recognised that is supposed to be Emma Watson!

You would have loved anplace we went to around 20 years ago in Paris......it was just like the famous House of Wax film......very creepy and genuine looking! That was a scary place to be.......it was like a real crypt....your pics reminded me of it tonight.

Look forward to your thoughts on Teak Neighborhood Grill.......we love it there!

There's a lot of props around the museum, the only ones I'd recommend avoiding are the ones that go on your head. I can't imagine how many people wear those in a day :crazy2:
Ick, ick, ick, I can't even imagine :scared1:

But if you look below he did the same thing in 2015...:rotfl:
:laughing:

I do want to highlight this picture I took in 2015 in which I was pretending to be one of Tiger Wood's mistresses trying to mow him down with a golf cart. I'm not sure that translates super well by looking at this :laughing:
This picture is awesome :laughing:

Apparently we've been Livin' La Vida Loca since 2015.
:rotfl:

Gorgeous shot of you. :thumbsup2

(Btw I watched one of those "kids identify 90's songs" videos they have the other day, and not one of them knew who sang that song).
:faint: Now that's just disappointing.

Loved this update! And I especially loved your commentary on the figures :laughing: ;) :thumbsup2

I tried really hard to make a crazy face :rotfl:

Gorgeous shot of you. :thumbsup2

Thank you!

:faint: Now that's just disappointing.

It was! Sometimes I watch those videos when they pop up on Youtube, but they make me so angry :rotfl: I spend the whole time going "how can you not have heard of deep blue something!"

Loved this update! And I especially loved your commentary on the figures :laughing: ;) :thumbsup2

I never considered going to a wax museum before, but now you have me thinking about it. Pretty cool looking.

Looks like a fun time at the wax museum. I had no idea there were so many other touristy things so close by . Glad you are exploring new places.

Before we went the first time I didn't think it would be too interesting, but I think it's the kind of place where if you're willing to get silly with your pictures and you go at a time where there aren't a ton of other people around then it's a pretty fun place, I'd definitely recommend!

Yeah, I-Drive has tons of tourist attractions and restaurants. It's between Disney and Universal, and it's got the outlet malls, etc too. We've gone to some of the attractions before, but usually don't have time in our trip or a rental car so it was nice to see what was new.

Lol.....love the spiral staircase gif!!! I agree with you on them.......scary movie staple prop......or someone appearing all glammed up for a fancy dress or event!! We must have watched the same movies........:rotfl:

That is a beautiful staircase too though.......

We went to Lake Eola in September and it is lovely...we had the opposite of you...it was so bright and too hot!! But they have a farmers market on a Sunday and it was fun.....lots of food options too, you’d love it!!

I agree about not wanting to be there at night. But it looks lovely with the Christmas tree! I didn’t even think to visit over our December trip.

Black swans are beautiful aren’t they.........yep, swans can be as nasty as geese.....usually when protecting their young but geese......yep!!! They’re always so grumpy!

Nice update..........:thumbsup2

So pretty! Kinda reminds me of Flower and Garden Festival :laughing:

The only thing is I avoid geese at all costs because they're mean :rotfl:
Right?! ::yes::

Josh kept going "what is it?!" :laughing:
I'm with Josh - what is it?! :confused3 :rotfl:

After all if movies have taught me anything it's that spiral staircases only have 2 purposes depending on the movie: they're either for big fancy dress reveals or for someone to fall down :lmao:.
This is SO TRUE! :rotfl2:

You guys really do take the best pictures together :goodvibes

We celebrated New Years a little early, by going to see Joel Mchale do standup at a casino in our area:

gTTYJEjl.jpg

Aaahh!! This is awesome!

These are Parks and Rec colored pencils and they are the coolest thing ever :lovestruc

89FZH6Ol.jpg

I couldn't handle the names of the colors :rotfl: I kept saying, "ooh, I like this one the best. No! I like this one best!"

Things also kept breaking in our room we went to flip the lock over and the bolts just came out of the latch and it fell to the ground, I also dropped something in the sink and went to pick it up and somehow the whole like drain cover just came off in my hand.

:scared1::scared1:

this is pretty!

You can also play the TV sound in the bathroom. Nothing I love more than being able to hear Cheaters while I shower :rotfl:

So I was desperately trying to find a gif from the movie Disturbia where Shia LeBeouf is home eating ice cream and watching Cheaters, and he's like, "Man up, Leonard" or whatever, but all i can find is gifs from Rhianna's Disturbia video. I'm so disappointed in the internet right now :sad2:

One new thing is Loew's hotels do those "room checks" as well now. But I found they were much easier to deal with. There was definitely no knocking or barging in and I think it's more to check that the people are okay, rather than to check the room itself. We just got regular room service everyday, but one day we did forget to take the "occupied" sign off our room. Despite it saying that they would enter even with the sign up, they didn't. But they did text us the next afternoon and ask if we were ready for room service and if there was a time that would work best for us. I do like how they text you from the front desk for things like information, check in, and room service like this. It's very handy and non intrusive. When they texted we were out of the room so I just told them they could come in right then. They were very polite about it and easy to deal with.

I was annoyed by it at the Polynesian. On our vip day, the hotel called me to ask why we had the room occupied sign on, did we need service, could they go in. I was like, do whatever you want, we're with our guide, leave me alone. (but nicer), and then one day we were in there and we told housekeeping we didn't want service, but we asked for towels, which they brought to us, and then DH went to find them b/c we were out of toilet paper. They STILL sent a guy to check our room, while I was sitting at the desk curling my hair and the kids were sprawled out on the beds. He was like, "Ok, the lamps are working, and the lights in the bathroom. Good." And left. What?? Why WOULDN'T the lights be working, and wouldn't we have called if they weren't? They need to stop pretending it's anything other than a safety check, that's what makes it annoying. Don't try to pass it off as anything else, and come at a set time each day. Like, if you decline housekeeping, someone will check your room between the hours of x and x.

When we first got in we saw something new since our 2015 visit, you are now greeted by Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull. Neither of us are Pitbull fans, but my aunt is a huge Pitbull fan :rotfl: I took this to make her jealous since she calls Pitbull "her man".

LOL!! Xavier calls him Mr. Worldwide in a mocking way. Like, "Mom, did you know Mr. Worldwide is in that new Ugly Dolls movie??"

Most of these look great but that might be the least Elvis looking Elvis I've seen, lol! My step mom would probably try making out with it. She thinks he's still alive, have I told you about that???

(Btw I watched one of those "kids identify 90's songs" videos they have the other day, and not one of them knew who sang that song).

Deep Blue Something!! I was in middle school when that came out, I think. Around 95 or 95??

It looks like Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett had a statue baby.

I also get the Moana/Te'fiti vibe!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I like seeing all of the Outside the Bubble stuff you guys did!

Aw thank you! I feel like sometimes we get good ones by accident, and sometimes it's because I make Josh retake it until I like it :rotfl:
:laughing: Whatever your method, it works! :thumbsup2

Which was good because then I could ask him to take my picture in front of things :rotfl:
:laughing: ::yes::

Awww, love this shot :goodvibes

We also wandered down the street and saw this little park that looked like it was straight out of a fairytale:
Why don't I live here?! :confused3

Oh that snow is so funny!!!! Celebration does look good at Christmas...….was it easy to get parked with the crowds of people......I know during the day there are plenty of spaces, but an event like that I do worry we wouldn't get parked.....your pictures are lovely as always. Must think about adding to this years December trip.....we do like Celebration a lot.

STK looks good...….what steak was that on Josh's plate?? Looks amazing......and I agree, I wonder why folks bring tiny babies to places like that??

And you even managed to make Cabana Bay look pretty....lol......trees are lovely...…

Enjoyed this update...….and glad you had the car for a few days.....I know we wouldn't be without our rental car on our trips and do enjoy the freedom to get around Florida whenever we feel like it...….but your face is a picture with the dropping off of the car and the snow too......lol...….

Oh and love Kevin Bacon too!!!!!

Omg I loved that movie back when I saw it :rotfl: I was in HS and had a pretentious boyfriend who was like "you know that's a rip off of the Hitchcock film the Rear Window?" and then tried to make me watch that one, but I was like dude I just want to watch Shia Lebeouf movies :laughing:

I hate when you have a very specific gif moment in your head and google fails you, like why didn't anyone else think this was gif worthy?

I read what your boyfriend said in my head in this VERY snobby 90s tv show kind of voice.

And first of all high school boyfriend, it wasn't a "rip off", it was an adaptation. (I had a boyfriend like that in high school too, like dude, you are not smarter than I am, stop being awful and enjoy life.)

I was so weirdly obsessed with this movie that I probably watched it twice a week for a month. I rented it from the Redbox and then just never gave it back and let them charge me the full amount. And yes, the internet failed me spectacularly :sad:

I think the part that annoys me the most is that they continue to pretend it's about something else when it obviously isn't. They let you know it'll happen and then they still come in pretending to check the lights or something. Like just say it's a security check. The other thing that really bothers me is them not really coming on a schedule or just barging in. When we went last May we had someone come in the room at night when we weren't there and turn things on after we had housekeeping during the day, like I don't get why they don't just come during the day/check during the room cleaning. At the Loews hotel housekeeping seemed sufficient and they never disturbed us.

Preach!

y aunt thinks his songs are really inspirational like the song about how he blew his rent money in the club? She thinks it's about a sweet young gentleman working hard and saving up, I'm not sure why :laughing:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:lovestruc It's so beautiful :lovestruc

FwkRExt.gif

(Not sure what's going on in this gif I got for "posing", but Kevin Bacon is in it @xlsm)

LOL, this is amazing

E5RJ4LMl.jpg

(Although foxes dressed/standing like people is a bit peculiar).

They are so dapper! I like anthropomorphic animals, lol

I grew up watching the Universal monsters...my dream for a Universal park is just an entire section set aside just for them. They need to do a house or scare zone at HHN that is just moody and creepy with the classic monster scenes!! Like that episode of Supernatural that's in black and white and features them!
