Welcome to my fourth dining review!
This trip was May 22-27 2019. It was me, DH, DS21, DD(1)16, DD(2)16 and a friend of DD(1). We flew in late Wednesday night and stayed at SSR our first night. We moved over to our home resort, BWV, for the rest of the trip. DS turned 21 in April so DS, DH and I had a VERY good time in Epcot. We hit a lot of F&G booths and returned to our favorite restaurants and a few new ones as well. Hope you enjoy!

This looks like a good lineup right here. Staying at BCV in January, and have Trattoria on my list....I will take it as a good sign that you ate there three times :) Looking forward to your reviews!

Your restaurant list looks amazing! A lot of our favorites on there : )

Thanks! We had such a great time.

Hi! We had our first dinner experience at Trattoria this trip. I won’t say yet if we’ll be back or not, I’ll wait until I post the review. But we absolutely love breakfast there.

I'm here!!! Can't wait to hear about everything.

Day 1- May 22

So our first day was not really a day. Originally we were arriving on Thursday, May 23, staying at BWV. When looking to book our flights, the price for Wednesday night was soooo low, it only made sense to add the additional night. Of course BWV was not available, so we picked SSR out of our very few options. We arrived at SSR around 10:00 pm, dropped off our luggage in our rooms and walked over to Disney Springs. The kids were tired so it was me, DH and DS. The walk over was great. I had requested Congress Park for its location and that is what we got. We decided to venture over to D-Luxe Burger. DH and I had been before but this was DS first time.

Dh ordered a Classic Cheeseburger

I did not take a picture of his cheeseburger. I think between being so late and being so hungry I forgot. But I know he enjoyed it.

DS and I ordered the Southern Burger, Smoked Bourbon Gelato Shake, Godiva Chocolate and Strawberry Malt Gelato Shake

I was able to get a picture of the Southern burger and sort of a picture of the smoked bourbon shake. I have an old photo of the Godiva chocolate shake from our 2018 trip. Obviously, it looks and tastes the same. 👍

We enjoyed everything and we will definitely be back. We walked back to SSR to get some sleep before transferring over to BWV.

Applause to you for having the energy to make it over to Disney Springs that late at night. I would have just complained I was hungry all night but then done nothing to rectify that hoping the hubby would go get something for me.

Glad to hear you all liked D"luxe burger. We've eaten there twice and really enjoy it too! Cant' go wrong with a greasy burger no matter what time of day.

I planned on getting to DS no matter how late it was. I purposely did not eat too much on the flight so I could really enjoy what we ended up eating. And a greasy cheeseburger really hit the spot! Bummed out I didn't order any fries.

Day 2- May 23

We woke up pretty early and the plan was to head over to BWV, drop off our luggage and then head over to MK. I had an idea before we arrived. Since Minnie Vans can fit up to six people and we only had carry on size bags, I would request a Minnie Van for the transfer. Well, I learned this would not have worked once our driver showed up because they all have two car seats in the cargo area but we lucked out with our driver because #1 she showed up in a Suburban not a Traverse, and #2 when we told her we were just dropping off our luggage at BWV then heading to MK, she offered to wait for us and continue on and drive us to MK.

We rope dropped some rides and headed over to Gaston's to try the famous Cinnamon Bun (which I did not get a picture of.) We ordered a few since we were all sharing, and while it was good I didn't find it anything too special. I would get one again but I don't think I would go out of my way to get it again.

We spent a good while riding some rides and ended up getting two more items that were on my must-try list. First stop was Cheshire Cafe. We had been dying to try the Cheshire Cat Tail.

IMG_5697.jpg

This was delicious!!! Served warm and super chocolatey in the middle.

After riding my favorite ride in MK, The PeopleMover, which we should have split up and gone in two separate cars, we ventured over to Adventureland. Here we made a pit stop at the Eggroll Cart before riding PotC. You just never know when they are going to be open. We ordered one of each of the varieties they offered which were cheeseburger and Cuban. Both were good but we thought the cheeseburger one was slightly better. I know they are expensive, but I LOVE eggrolls/spring rolls so I would definitely seek these out again.

We DO NOT fit

IMG_5814.jpg

A little better

IMG_5706.jpg

We headed back to BWV to see if we could get our rooms so the kids could take a break and the adults could get their first day of F&G in!

Looks like a lot of great places on your list! Still have yet to try the Cheshire Cat Tail and the eggrolls. They're always on my list but we never quite seem to get there. Hopefully next time :)

Enjoying being along for your trip! We love those spring rolls but the prices have just gotten nutty. Can’t wait to read more!

Ooh D’luxe looks great. Are the shakes on qsdp do you know? Excited for more.

We love D-Luxe. Only been there twice, but both times were great. I don't know about the shakes on the DP. Sorry!

You should try and get there! Both were added to our must do list in October. We will probably go to MK specifically to get snacks. We also want to try the dole whip pineapple upside down cake. 👍

Looks yum so far!!

Thanks!

Thanks for following!

We returned to the BWV and DD(1) wasn't feeling well so she was going to wait in the lobby until the rooms were ready. Luckily, I got a text that one of our rooms was ready so she was able to go to the room and lay down. Me, DH and DS headed over to EP to get our food and drink on! DD(2) and DD(1)'s friend came with us.

First stop was
Fleur de Lys

Tarte au Chévre: Goat Cheese Tart with Caramelized Onions on a flaky Pastry Crust
Macaron au Chocolat en Sucette: Large Chocolate Macaron Lollipop

Kir Framboise: Sparkling Wine and Monin Raspberry Syrup

The goat cheese tart was really good. Nice and flaky. The macaron was awesome. We got many more of them over the next few days. I ordered the kir framboise. I thought it was really good. Not overly sweet. I found myself ordering many of the sparkling wine drinks at the festival this trip.

IMG_5707.jpg IMG_5708.jpg IMG_5746.jpg

Les Vins des Chefs de France
Citron- Grey Goose Citron, Vodka and Lemonade

IMG_5710.jpg

I probably don't have to say anything about this. So good and nice and refreshing on a hot afternoon!

Next stop was Florida Fresh

We arrived at Florida Fresh where we ordered the following

Carne Guisada with Black Bean Cake and Cilantro Lime Sour Cream
Spicy Blackened Shrimp and Cheddar Cheese Grits with Brown Gravy and Local Sweet Corn Relish (no pic?)

Both items were good. The shrimp and grits were the better of the two though.

IMG_5711.jpg

Then we stopped at Taste of Marrakesh so I could get the Desert Rose: Sparkling Wine topped with Pomegranate Liqueur. This was really good!

IMG_5712.jpg

We moved on to The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews. We enjoyed both items. The slider was awesome!

Pulled Pig Slider with Coleslaw
Beef Brisket Burnt Ends and Smoked Pork Belly Slider with Garlic Sausage, Chorizo, Cheddar Fondue and House-made Pickle

IMG_5714.jpg

IMG_5713.jpg

We kept on moving along. Our next stop was Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market

Potato Pancake with Caramelized Ham, Onions and Herb Sour Cream
Toasted Pretzel Bread topped with Black Forest Ham and Melted Gruyère Cheese
Hugo Cocktail with Sparkling Wine, Elderflower and Mint

IMG_5716.jpg

IMG_5715.jpg

IMG_5717.jpg

Other than my drink, these items are not on our must do list next time. We've had the potato pancake a few times and it isn't as good as the first time we had it. The ham and cheese pretzel bread was kind of dry.

Three more stops before we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.

I so have to try this. I've read several reports about how good it is lately. I'm not always up for sweets in the morning, but the rest of my crew definitely is

Have you tried the egg rolls at Yak and Yeti? Those are definitely my favorite. Morimoto also has a spring roll/crab rangoon hybrid that is delicious. I didn't love these, but I'm more of a dumpling vice roll kinda gal

Oh this was so good and my favorite thing at the festival. Is it wrong that I want one for breakfast right now :confused3

I'm not really a sweets person any time of the day (I prefer salty) but the Cheshire Cat Tail is seriously that good. If it wasn't served warm it probably wouldn't be as good. You definitely need to get one.

Yes. We have tried the egg rolls at Yak and Yeti. They are my favorite for sure. If we don't sit in the restaurant, we always grab them at the counter service with a nice cold beer after riding EE. Some rides make me slightly queasy and I've found that beer and greasy egg rolls make me feel better. 👍 😬

No. No it's not wrong at all. 😉

Ok, so we were starting to feel full but decided on a few more stops before heading back to BWV. Next up was The Citrus Blossom

Lobster Tail with Meyer Lemon Emulsion and Grilled Lemon

IMG_5718.jpg

This was good. It wasn't phenomenal. I think sometimes being from MA I don't get overly excited eating lobster anywhere. But it was a repeat item and the second one was actually better. I would recommend it.

We moved on to Northern Bloom

Maple Popcorn Shake with Crown Royal Maple Whisky

IMG_5719.jpg

This was delicious! We were not sure what to expect but everything went together perfectly. The popcorn garnish was fantastic especially when you got a sip of everything together.

Our last stop of the day was somewhere we always pop in but it is always a zoo. Luckily for us, this time it was rather quiet.

Rose and Crown Pub

IMG_5720.jpg

We enjoyed a Black and Tan or a Half and Half. I don't remember which one we ended up getting. But this was really good and we were back here again during this trip. We headed back to BWV to relax for a bit before dinner.

Up next- Bluezoo Lounge and Flying Fish
