Canadian Buffoon's Semi-EPIC Vacation - 10/29 - Link to new TR!

You can get in 5 minutes before your window :-)

Good to know! Thank you!
:D

Yep!
I'm curious if you'll hustle him
out of there, or.... point at him

and laugh!

Most likely, be there to offer comfort if she's freaked out. I'm looking forward more to my husband's reaction - they'll be no warning there!

It's like they had their
heads in the clouds!

:rotfl:

Lo Mein you say? Okay.
But pkondz does not
do coconut!

Fair enough. It's a shame they no longer have the shrimp tempura - it was great!

For the quick service location (I've only been to the restaurant), most people seem to rave about the crispy honey chicken or especially the fried rice. I hope you have a better experience there!

Great minds!

:thumbsup2

Okay, so I actually just got the result today after my second midterm of the day.

I applied at the Apple Store, because well I need a full time job while I am in school, sucks because it has made school much longer but what can ya do! Vancouver is to damn expensive.

I went through 3 interviews, it was rigorous. That last interview pitted me against 3 other folks in a dirt pit and we had to fight to the death....okay okay I digress I may have embellished. The group interview was first. So I then had a second interview that seemed to go well but was told afterwards by the hiring manager(via phone a couple days after the interview) that I was probably not a perfect fit based on past experience for the role.

I was bummed but still had one more interview with the store manager. It was supposed to be about 30 minutes, we were there an hour. He's a Leafs, Star Wars and Disney fan! I gave him some tips on booking his next trip :). This interview seemed to go very well, he was glad he didn't have to ask the typical interview questions because our natural conversation answered what he wanted to know.

Still I was nervous, I had let him know that I was open to other roles than the one I applied for just to boost my odds.

He told me I would hear back in 48 hours, 62 hours go by and nothing. I call, am told I would hear back the next day. Nothing, called again and asked to speak to the Store Manager. He assured me I would hear back by Monday around noon. Well I'm taking no news as bad news and around 3pm today he calls.

He said the delay was because he had to go away for training and then had two days off. The store manager was so impressed during my last interview that they were now just deciding which of the 3 roles did they want me in. So great news, I only applied to one place for a job and nailed it. Start date and wage will be discussed Wednesday.
Whoa. Quite the roller coaster
going on there!
But! You got the job!
(Some job...)
Congratulations!
When do you start and
when will you know what
you're doing?

Wednesday, I presume?
I'm hoping with the new GOTG ride in Epcot they will leave that alone.
That's what I'm hoping, too.
I have those one in a blue moon.
Musta been blue, then. ;)
Ahh, you are no better than a journalist. Always twisting the truth!
Moi?
Never!

Fair enough, I often defer to Ally when we go on trips.
::yes::
So more than I have right now.
:rolleyes1
Wednesday is tomorrow...
Not the glorious review i was hoping for because it looked yummy.
Well...
It at least wasn't bad,
because I'd remember that.
And it wasn't the best thing
I've ever had, either.

Same reasoning.
Exactly, stalkers take no's as yes's, stop as more and storm troopers just leave you be unless you are brandishing a light saber.
They leave you alone, more.
409915
Ooooh, well you will need to eat them side by side next time.
::yes::

Wow, another update. I am a lucky boy today.
Whoa whoa, calm down Chuck Norris!
She had it coming...
Great picture, my dad has one of me in the same place when I was a wee gaffer.
Thanks!
Got it still?

More journalistic twisting, I see!
100% accurate.
I did not have my tripod.

Oh my lawd, that looks delicious.
::yes:: Soooooo good.
Dug sounds like my pup.
Mine, too. :)
This took me longer than I car to admit to figure out.
Oops! Sorry!
I pondered writing
it out in full...
"Naw. Everyone knows
what that is."

:sad2:
This is one of the few things I vividly remember from AK when I was a kid and I loved it.
:goodvibes
I also remember crying on Dinosaur but lets move on.
Whoopsie!

:lmao:
I love the posters, remind me of Cars Land
Oh, really?
I haven't been enough
to make that connection.
This ride always looks amazing, I really want to try it.
::yes::
It's a really fun coaster.
Smooth, too.

It looked like a lot of fun!
::yes::
Looks kind of like my grandmother. Probably nicer too.
Hope grammie doesn't
read the boards!

I've watched this on youtube so many times, I am embarrassed to admit but I can't wait to see it one day.
Someday. :)

No, just the plain mac and cheese.
I might like the sauce, but definitely not something my girls would go for.
Ah.
You'd be surprised, though.
It wasn't spicy or anything.
Not that I could recall.
And Elle is a typical youngster,

not into spicy and she liked it.

Most likely, be there to offer comfort if she's freaked out.
My apologies.
I said "he" and not "she".
For some reason I thought
you had a son.

Sorry!
I'm looking forward more to my husband's reaction - they'll be no warning there!
Fair enough. It's a shame they no longer have the shrimp tempura - it was great!
Bummer. :(
For the quick service location (I've only been to the restaurant), most people seem to rave about the crispy honey chicken or especially the fried rice. I hope you have a better experience there!
That's If I go.
My schedule is quite
loose, actually.
I think I only have
one or two ADRs.

And none for dinner! :faint:

Far side....
Great comic.

::yes:: I miss it.

But we had to wait as there were
several others with the same thought.

How dare they! We have a schedule to keep here!

I started to get impatient with
this one woman who wouldn't move
out of the way quickly enough.
I told her to move, she told me
what to do.
I don't respond well to that.
I spun and hit her squarely
with a spinning back kick and
hit her so hard she flipped
right out of her wheelchair.

Good. I'm sure she deserved it.

(Something to do with EMT's and
some lady on the ground. Whatever.
Things to do. Places to see.)

EMT's: Yep, she totally deserved it! Held up the PhotoPass line. Move along, nothing to see here.

He came over to our table and
sniffed at the empty plate.
"Sorry, Dug." I said. "All gone."
Poor puppers. He wandered off
disconsolably, looking for more
food, I presume.

He probably got distracted by a squirrel.

Now that we have a bit of
food in our tummies,
it was time to do the one
thing that people flock
to Animal Kingdom for!
That's right!
It was time for...

ITTBAB!!!!!!

Yay?

What?
You don't go there for that?
What is wrong with you???

I dunno. I like attractions that are fun?

We enjoyed the show.
Which cannot be said for
everyone in the audience.
The UoG was right.
There were kids screaming
and crying all over the place!

That's my least favorite Pixar movie. Well, that and Cars 2. Hard to make bugs likeable.

DSC07283_zpsmutyuql0.jpg

Wow, nice shot there!

Do we look like we're having fun?
We turned right back around
and were in the single rider line
at 3:14pm and on the train
three minutes after that!

Sweeeeeet. That's such a great ride.

What was she doing?
I was mystified.
She quickly stooped, picked up a small
Hot Wheels car and handed it
to the little boy, who immediately
stopped crying.
Poor kid had just wanted to get
his car back that he'd dropped.

So, no. She didn't see the parrots.
She was too busy watching the scene
unfold in front of her and saving the day.

She's going to make a great teacher.
She's always watching out for the little ones.

Good job, Elle. You're right, she'll make a wonderful teacher.

I like this shot, too.

What I am trying to start
is that everyone refer to
Pandora as "Pandra".
I've decided the "O" is silent.
(Rhymes with Sandra)
Besides, you can say it much
more quickly.
Try it.
Pan-d'oh-Rah.... horrid.
Pandra. Much better.

I'm not quite sold. Putting "d'oh" in the middle makes me think of Homer Simpson, which is fun. And "Pandra" makes me think cute bears should be wandering around.

Once we were safely mounted on
our respective simulated Ikrans,
the woman beside Elle says:
"Yeah. No."
A CM came and released her
and she left.

The wait time at that point
was 110 minutes.

I still wonder if she waited
110 minutes just to walk away.

Oh, man. I'd suffer through it just for the principle if it came to taht.

And... just what we needed!
Seats!
Air conditioning!

:woohoo::jumping1:party:
Oh, and there was some kinda show, too.

Whatever. Sitting down in air conditioning is so underrated.

A few lackluster shots from what is possibly
one of the best shows on property.

It really is a good show.

Poor Timon.
Obviously didn't feel so great
after his turn on FoP.
He should've followed that
lady's lead!

:rotfl2:He does look like he had some bad burritos.

Ummm... sir?
Just where exactly are you
putting your hand????

:eek::rotfl:

We both left the show
with smiles on our faces.
And that's all you can really
ask for, isn't it?

I could ask for a bag of hundred dollar bills. Doesn't mean I'll get one, but I can ask.

There was a strange
"tic-toc" emanating from
the beast's open mouth
in this next photo.
We presumed it was
indigestion.

Makes sense. What's that metal thing on the ground near its mouth?

We were stuck, moving intermittently
a few feet only to stop again, for
20 minutes.
I kept looking nervously at the time.
We were not going to be on time
for our ADR.

Ugh. That's not fun.

I explained that we'd been delayed
by a giraffe and the host replied with
"It happens."
I'm going to use that excuse
everywhere now!
Worked like a charm!

Nice! The old "a giraffe blocked my path excuse". If I had a dollar for every time I had to use that one...

I'd be broke.

But what I wouldn't have again?
The rest of what we ordered.

Ooh. That's, uh...not a ringing endorsement.

This led to her dubbing the place
as "Yuck and Yeti".
She still calls it that.

 I was always leery of eating at any place with "yak" in the title.

The pipes have the chemical formulas
for ketchup, mustard and mayo.
Why?
Because McDonalds was once
the sponsor of the ride.

I love that touch. Makes me smile every time.

In line we got.
We were on the ride a reasonable
40 minutes later.

Hmm....40 minutes for IASM...I'd probably skip it. But I get it, it was her first time and your only shot.

Did you see it
in this chapter?

I did! But I had to work hard. This was a tough one.

I didn't even know how far behind I was, because I didn't even know you'd started this!! Beginning my catch-up period...

"Dad. Elsa and I want to go
to Disneyworld. Can you come
too and show us around?"

Elsa? Elle's friend? Elle's partner? Elle's dog? Elle's Arendellian snow queen?

x51igll.gif

:sad2:

Don't have kids, folks.
You heard it here first.

Ok, if you insist!

Cocaine, crack, meth...
Those apparently are
perfectly fine.
But pot? Nooooooo!

Other than the plate in my head,
the only metal I have on me is
my watch.

The plate in your head? Don't tell me that you and I are metal-head twins!?

He did. She saw. He put it back.
I can only presume that he thought
they were cute and wanted to show her.

Ah... young love.

How sweet :lovestruc

(always travel with clean underwear.
umm... always travel with underwear.
I'm looking at you, Liesa.)

:rotfl:

As a little treat for Elle,
(and because I had my
own reasons)
I had upgraded our seats
to "Plus" seats.

:thumbsup2

The attendant finished her safety
talk and the pilot came on to inform
us that they would be de-icing the
aircraft prior to take-off.

De-icing! On April 30th!

Oof! Welcome to Manitoba.

"Welcome to the centre of
the Universe."
(Canadian inside joke)

::yes::

"Traveling with more than
$10,000 dollars?"

Once.
Just once.
I want to answer "Yes" to
that question.
But I am not an oil baron
(or a drug dealer. I saw the sign.)
so the answer is always "No".

Sigh. I'm there with you.

But first... our first ride of the trip!
The fake-o-rail!

IMG_1658_zpsn1dsxnus.jpg

Who else loves taking this
when they arrive in Florida?

Me! First ride of the trip!

I suppose it's a good thing
it hit my head on the way down.
Probably saved me some repairs.
I can always replace the plate
in my head, but a good camera
isn't easy to find in Disney.

Oh dear! Your poor head! But fortunate for your camera.

Old Key West!

I need to give a big
shout-out and an even
bigger "THANK YOU!"
to @docsoliday1.
When he heard Elle and I
were heading down,
he offered to rent his
DVC points to us.
So for what amounted to
about the same price as
a Value resort, we got to
stay at OKW instead.

How very generous! Very kind of Doc.

"Do you have anything closer?" I asked.
I pointed. "Maybe in one of these building?"
She tapped at her keyboard...
Made a phone call...
"I don't know if I can get you
the ground floor..." She said.

I told her we'd take any floor
including the roof if it got us
a closer building.
She pointed to a nearby building
on the map.
"How's this?" She asked.
It was less than a 2-minute walk away.
I nodded enthusiastically.
"It might not be ready until 4pm." She said.
I assured her that was fine.

:thumbsup2 Much better! Good to have that resolved.

And it was here, at Olivia's,
that I learned that it's not
Conch... which you'd think
would be pronounced like
"launch" or "paunch",
but Conch, pronounced "Konk".
Like the sound it makes
when a heavy camera bag
falls and hits you on the head.

 Interesting! I learned something, too.

My apologies.
I said "he" and not "she".
For some reason I thought
you had a son.

Sorry!

No worries! My use of only her initial instead of her name makes it harder to remember. (Her name definitely identifies as "girl," so that would've made it easier!)

Yay another update! AK is my fav park. But not a fan of the new bird show. Nope. One and done for us. Lame.
I get the Miso glazed salmon at Y&Y. Really good. Did you eat at the new QS in “Pandra” lol. The bowls are great. My new fav place to eat at AK. But still prefer the seating at Flametree. So pretty.
We’re from BC. Did I hear you’re moving to the US? Something about US Visa? Was skimming thru comments.

When do you start and
when will you know what
you're doing?

Wednesday, I presume?

Yes, Wednesday I will find out when I start and what I am doing as well as how much they will provide me for Disney...I mean salary.

Moi?
Never!

Hmmm...alibi checks out. I trust you.

:rolleyes1
Wednesday is tomorrow...

Well It won't be Bill Gates money, but it will be nice to have steady income again!

She had it coming...

ahhh, I believe you slugger.

Got it still?

I will take a look next time I visit.

100% accurate.
I did not have my tripod.

Alright alright, I'll let this one slide.

Mine, too. :)

It probably doesn't help that I will occasionally give her food but hey, I love her and shes a good pup.

Oops! Sorry!
I pondered writing
it out in full...
"Naw. Everyone knows
what that is."

:sad2:

Hey, I figured it out! You are golden.

Whoopsie!

:lmao:

I was probably around 9 and oh my, my dad was just laughing and my sister who was 7 was laughing and I'm just terrified.

Oh, really?
I haven't been enough
to make that connection.

42855452142_f94644391d.jpg

::yes::
It's a really fun coaster.
Smooth, too.

Ahh, I can't wait.

Hope grammie doesn't
read the boards!

I don't think so, but she would know it is in jest.

Someday soon, I hope.

When a couple of minutes passed by
and it still said "2:46", I figured out
that it wasn't coming for half an hour.

Oof! Waiting half an hour for a bus? This doesn't sound like you at all!

I had forgotten to activate my
VIP bus pass before I left home.
I had been lulled into thinking
I had, because of our zero wait
for DME, earlier that day.

Ahhh, that explains it.

Hmm... 3pm... people waiting
on the sidewalks...
I resisted the ridiculously large
urge to ask a CM what time the
three o'clock parade was.

Don't you just love putting "th"s at
the end of wordths?

I digreth.

I work on this particular speech pattern with a lot of my little ones in my speech-language pathology internship! :rolleyes1

Of course she spotted me
and blew me a kiss too.
I get that a lot.
It's my rugged good looks
and killer charm.

Naturally.

I told Elle how about a year earlier
the dragon caught fire.

DSC07187_zpsu92yhogh.jpg

She was quite sad when I
told her that I didn't think
that it breathed fire anymore.

It WAS sad! Fortunately, the dragon seems to be in good health now and was able to prove you wrong. :)

DSC07209_zpspdta7sgj.jpg

This is one of my favourite
things in MK. It just... fits.

Agreed.

So this time... she was determined
to get her Space jam on!

KirspQK.jpg

We got in line and I cracked
up when I read this woman's shirt:

DSC07218_zpsjckswoxq.jpg

:rotfl: Love this!

Hidden Mickey spaghetti!

Fantastic! A little bit of Mickey magic can turn up in the most unexpected of places.

Now, I'm going to blow your
collective little minds here...

Elle mixed the two sauces together...
and not only did she love it...
but today I asked her:
"What was your favourite meal
at Disneyworld?"

Her answer?
"Tony's!"

No way! What are the chances!? I'll file that tip away for later. Sounds like something Nathan would eat.

To which Elle remarked.
"Meh. We have one in our freezer."

So... up here, we have snow on
the ground for almost half the year.
When a goldfish dies, and you have
an overly sensitive kid who won't
let it be "buried at sea" or a hamster
bites the biscuit and she refuses to let
Hammie go to that dumpster in
the sky...
Your freezer becomes a temporary morgue.
Last rites included for an extra fee.

#Canadianpetproblems

I love my VIP bus pass.

I need to figure out how to get myself one of these.

Doc got her one of those mugs
that are all black but when exposed
to heat, reveals a picture.
It was a very well done, intricate
scene of the village where the
movie takes place.
We boiled some water and
watched it appear.
Elle loved it!

How very kind! The entire gift, really. Doc is a very thoughtful friend.

I opened the fridge and...

Gross!!

Someone had left their leftovers
in there!

Ew...

Well, if it doesn't stink, I can just toss
it in the trash, but if it does, I'm going
to have to find another trash, outside.

I unwrapped it and...

Oh. My. God.

Doc had baked us a cheesecake
and had given me some of what
he described as "the best bacon
you'll ever eat."

Oh my goodness gracious!! That's really amazing, and so thoughtful. I've heard spectacular things about Doc's cheesecake. That must have been an exciting surprise!

I do like the look of the new
bus stops, but they do seem
a little on the far side.
I agree, far away!!
As we made our way over
to grab our snack, we stumbled
across Kevin, strolling about.
Kevin is so fun to see, she makes me giggle like a little girl every time
Our snack was from Eight Spoons,
the Baked Macaroni & Cheese with
Shrimp and Sweet Chili Sauce.
I have this on my list for August!
ITTBAB!!!!!!

What?
You don't go there for that?
What is wrong with you???
I secretly love watching all the freaked out kids in there, makes me laugh! It definitely is scary for the little ones!
There were kids screaming
and crying all over the place!
Love it!😅

Try it.
Pan-d'oh-Rah.... horrid.
Pandra. Much better.
Sounds good to me, rolls off the tongue!!
Once we were safely mounted on
our respective simulated Ikrans,
the woman beside Elle says:
"Yeah. No."
A CM came and released her
and she left.
Oh no! I hope she didn’t wait in the SB line, I love this ride, a favorite of mine!
I explained that we'd been delayed
by a giraffe and the host replied with
"It happens."
I'm going to use that excuse
everywhere now!
Worked like a charm!
Only in AK will that work!
The crab cakes were flavourless
and a bit on the soggy side.
Very disappointing.
Elle remarked that "Tony's was better"
and I'd have to agree with her.
What a bummer! We love Y&Y, I have always had such delicious food!
I will maybe go back...
and try something else...
but I'm not in a rush to do so.
I would give it another try, the Tikka Masala is delicious and the Kobe burger is yummy
Did you see it
in this chapter?
Ugh, I never see it, I’m terrible at this game, I will keep trying!

:rotfl2:
Gonna make getting around just that
much easier in the near future.

I hope so. I'll looking forward to trying it.

One fish, two fish.
Three fish (swallow),
no fish.

:goodvibes

Beautiful photo!

I was very impressed with her
ability to move her head
and open and close her mouth.
Quite realistic!

Something else I'm hoping to see.

Besides, it's almost worth
going, just for the queue alone.

I agree. You get to see so much more and up close.

We enjoyed the show.
Which cannot be said for
everyone in the audience.
The UoG was right.
There were kids screaming
and crying all over the place!

I always enjoyed others reactions until last trip when the grands freaked out.

Love this one!

Do we look like we're having fun?

Yes you do!

What was she doing?
I was mystified.
She quickly stooped, picked up a small
Hot Wheels car and handed it
to the little boy, who immediately
stopped crying.
Poor kid had just wanted to get
his car back that he'd dropped.

She's a hero!

We took the opportunity to explore
a little while we waited.

What did Elle think?

What I am trying to start
is that everyone refer to
Pandora as "Pandra".
I've decided the "O" is silent.
(Rhymes with Sandra)
Besides, you can say it much
more quickly.
Try it.
Pan-d'oh-Rah.... horrid.
Pandra. Much better.

You have a valid point.

A few lackluster shots from what is possibly
one of the best shows on property.

Not lackluster and I agree it is one of the best shows.

We were stuck, moving intermittently
a few feet only to stop again, for
20 minutes.
I kept looking nervously at the time.
We were not going to be on time
for our ADR.

You're giving me anxiety.

I explained that we'd been delayed
by a giraffe and the host replied with
"It happens."

What a relief.

Within five minutes, we were
escorted up the stairs
and sat at a table by a window.

You got one of @Steppesister 's tables.

They were pretty good.
I'd have them again.

These do look good.

I ordered the crab cakes.

Sorry these disappointed. I had some of the best crab cakes last week @ the WWII museum restaurant. They weren't pretty but they were so good.

The pipes have the chemical formulas
for ketchup, mustard and mayo.
Why?
Because McDonalds was once
the sponsor of the ride.

I've read this but haven't seen it for myself.

We moseyed over to
Kusafiri to fetch a giant
cinnamon bun, but alas,
the kiosk was closed.

Bitter disappointment.

Did you see it
in this chapter?

Yes I did but I had to look real hard. Hope he enjoyed it.

Holy crap -- work has been kicking my *** for the past couple months...hopefully I'll catch up soon! Going to comment on a delay for a bit until I get caught up!

So she was forced to withdraw
$500 before midnight
(her withdrawal limit),
and then another $500 after
midnight.

do you canadians not have credit cards that don't have foreign transaction fees? I usually only carry about $100-$200 in cash on me when going to Disney -- and it's basically to cover tips for bags and slight emergencies.

Don't have kids, folks.
You heard it here first.

NOW you tell me. You're 7 years too late buddy!

Car loaded, and our bleary
selves loaded, we headed out
and arrived at the airport
at 3am, two hours ahead
of flight time.

holy schnikes that is early!
Yes. We were too first in line.
The other people you see needed
additional help with their luggage.
We were first in line at the bag
drop-off.

I see Elle packs super light.

Have you ever seen
a more empty airport
security area???

Nope!
So he dropped it on the
floor and stomped it
with his booted feet.
I hate it when they do that!

As a little treat for Elle,
(and because I had my
own reasons)
I had upgraded our seats
to "Plus" seats.
Some of the advantages
to Plus seats are more leg
room, no middle passenger,
priority boarding and free snacks.

Nice. those are essentially business class seats here in the US for domestic travel. Surprised those didn't come with free bags...

She'd gotten up for work at
5:30am the day before.
By now, she'd been up for
almost 24 hours.

this is actually not a bad idea.

Yes, even though we'd already
been through security in
Winnipeg, and even though our
bags were tagged through
to Orlando, we still had to
go through security once again.

I really hate it when they do this. Such poor planning on airports.

And frankly... we have FPs
that just can't be missed.

410236

But first... our first ride of the trip!
The fake-o-rail!
410237
Who else loves taking this
when they arrive in Florida?
410238
We got to DME at 12:48pm
and walked through an empty
queue and barely broke stride
as we marched right onto
a waiting bus.
Our checked bags would find
us in our rooms later on,
so we just dumped off our
carry-ons.
I did however, bring my
camera bag inside the bus, with me.
At 12:55pm we were on our way!

Wow -- that is impressive.

At 1:21pm (I looked), we
arrived at our resort.

410239

"How's this?" She asked.
It was less than a 2-minute walk away.
I nodded enthusiastically.
"It might not be ready until 4pm." She said.
I assured her that was fine.

And that is why I ALWAYS go to the front desk when I arrive...and it's also why I try to get there as early as possible.

We popped over to Olivia's which was
pretty much empty at that time of day.

I've heard good things about that place.

And...
Did you see it?

You would think if you owned the seats, your bags would fly free.

It took us a bit, but we finally
figured out after this, that the
main bus stop was the last
stop on the OKW loop.
So if you wanted to make
sure you were getting on the bus,
you had to go to the first stop
which was a stone's throw away.
Obviously what happened to us
is that the bus filled up before
getting to the main stop
and passed it by.

Oooh that makes more sense, but I hate that this is a thing!

Once on the bus,
a gentleman spoke with us
and wanted to know if we
were heading to DHS to
take part in the 30th anniversary
celebrations.

Uh... I had no idea that was today.
Also... I was hoping for a low
attendance day.

:o uh oh!

Oh well.
Two people weren't going to impact
my time in line.
Just the principal of the thing.

I feel the same way when this happens.

(old dude. front row. 2nd from right. "And stay off my lawn!")

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for sharing this picture! I had a rough day today at my internship and this makes me feel a little lighter.

I fairly obviously photoshopped
her name in there.
That's because I don't post
her real name.
But it was there. :)

Gotcha! Makes sense. I suspected that might be the case for their privacy. But I did wonder briefly whether you and your wife just had a penchant for classy timeless one-syllable names for your children.

These unfortunate guys,
who'd obviously lost
a paintball battle to a
green team, slinked by.

Well... it's in the DIS bylaws
that you are not allowed to
write a TR without at least
once mentioning the heat
with one of the following adjectives:
Killing
Murdering
Punishing
Brutal
Oppressive
Terrible
Harsh
Crushing
Overwhelming
Unbearable
Unendurable
Intolerable
Stifling
Suffocating
Adjective of your choice provided
it is equal to or worse than any
in the provided list.

Check! I'm pretty sure my choice attribute was "the surface of the sun"

I'd always been told:
"You have to have a Mickey Ice Cream!"
And I have.
But it was only recently, that I became
aware that there was also a
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich.
I'd never had one, and this had
to be rectified.

Ooooh I'm glad you fixed this! I can't eat it now due to dietary restrictions, but I have long believed that the sandwiches are superior to the bars.

::yes:: I miss it.
So many great ones...
How dare they! We have a schedule to keep here!
Move it or lose it!
Good. I'm sure she deserved it.
I think so too.
I could hear a bunch of people
yelling and screaming.

I'm sure it was at her.
EMT's: Yep, she totally deserved it! Held up the PhotoPass line. Move along, nothing to see here.
Obviously a cry for attention.
He probably got distracted by a squirrel.

I dunno. I like attractions that are fun?
Oh! I should try that!
That's my least favorite Pixar movie. Well, that and Cars 2. Hard to make bugs likeable.
I didn't mind it.
I've seen worse movies. :)

Wow, nice shot there!
Thanks!
Sweeeeeet. That's such a great ride.
One of Disney's best!
Good job, Elle. You're right, she'll make a wonderful teacher.
::yes::
I like this shot, too.
Thanks again! :)
I'm not quite sold. Putting "d'oh" in the middle makes me think of Homer Simpson, which is fun. And "Pandra" makes me think cute bears should be wandering around.
Okay, try this.
Pan (for pandering) dough (for all the cash you'll spend) raw
(for your emotions after being wrung dry by everyone yelling

at you to get out of the way/get in line/hurry up/slow down... etc....)
Oh, man. I'd suffer through it just for the principle if it came to taht.
"I don't care if I puke.
I just stood in line for
two hours!"
:woohoo::jumping1:party:
Whatever. Sitting down in air conditioning is so underrated.
AC is awesome.
It really is a good show.
::yes::
:rotfl2:He does look like he had some bad burritos.
I told you. Her ankle!
I could ask for a bag of hundred dollar bills. Doesn't mean I'll get one, but I can ask.
Try it. You might get one.
CMs aren't supposed to say "no".

Makes sense. What's that metal thing on the ground near its mouth?
I believe it's a hook.
Nice! The old "a giraffe blocked my path excuse". If I had a dollar for every time I had to use that one...

I'd be broke.
:rolleyes1
Ooh. That's, uh...not a ringing endorsement.
Nope.
But a lot of people have had
really good meals there.

I'd be willing to give it another shot.
 I was always leery of eating at any place with "yak" in the title.
I love that touch. Makes me smile every time.
::yes::
Hmm....40 minutes for IASM...I'd probably skip it. But I get it, it was her first time and your only shot.
Yeah, it wasn't bad,
all things considered.

I did! But I had to work hard. This was a tough one.
Thought that might be a tough one.

I didn't even know how far behind I was, because I didn't even know you'd started this!!
Meghan! Hi!
I saw you catching up
here and there and was
hoping you'd stop by! :goodvibes

:welcome: to the TR!
Beginning my catch-up period...
Good luck!
Elsa? Elle's friend? Elle's partner? Elle's dog? Elle's Arendellian snow queen?
Snow queen, of course.
Who else?

okay, okay... friend.
Ok, if you insist!
Well, that was easy.
The plate in your head? Don't tell me that you and I are metal-head twins!?
No, just being silly.
Perhaps it was a poor decision?

Oof! Welcome to Manitoba.
More like Farewell Manitoba.
Glad to have gotten away from
the cold for a spell.
Sigh. I'm there with you.
Then let's make this happen!
Between the two of us, we can
come up with that $10,000 cash.
I'll bring the first $50.

You do the rest.
Me! First ride of the trip!
::yes::
Oh dear! Your poor head! But fortunate for your camera.
I survived.
How very generous! Very kind of Doc.
Very much, so!
:thumbsup2 Much better! Good to have that resolved.
Absolutely!
 Interesting! I learned something, too.
So I'm not the only one!
Phew! For a bit, I was thinking
I was!
