Can we bring our own booze?

Sorry for all the questions - cruising newbie here.

I thought I had read somewhere that on another cruise line, if you brought your own alcohol, or bought it during the cruise, you wouldn't see it again until you disembark. Is this true for Disney as well?

On the same note, can we bring cans of soda and keep them in our room?

Yes, you can indeed bring your own alcohol with you, we've done it on our last 3 DCL cruises. You can also bring your own soda, juice, or bottled water with you as well if you want, we've done that as well.

Disney Cruise Line will allow you to bring a reasonable amount of alcohol and/or soda onto the ship. These can be consumed as you wish. A corkage fee is assessed for any wine/champagne brought to the dinning rooms and consumed with dinner.

As far as buying alcohol on the ship (say from their duty free shops in Beat Street or Route 66), if you do this DCL *does* hold the alcohol until you disembark.
