BWV Parking?

We have stayed on the BW Inn side but never the Villa side. The one thing we didn't like is how far away you need to park. I know it is the same parking lot for both side of the resort. On the map it looks like the parking lot is closer to the Villa side. Is there any short cut you can take or do you still have to go up through the lobby? We are trying to decide where we want to stay. Thanks!

I am talking about the main parking lot and not the overflow lot across the street.

There is a ground floor (below lobby level) "entry" at the corner of the building with a concrete path after you cross the bridge (there is the canal between parking and BWV)

and I believe at the far end (nearest the tennis courts)

Most of the lot across from BWV is valet. about 2 rows near the Tennis courts are open to self park.

Also, the only elevators at BWV are by the lobby, so if you have an upper floor, your opinion of stairs may greatly impact your decision to use the side entrance...

The main self parking lot for guests staying at the Boardwalk Inn/Boardwalk Villas is located in front of their Convention Center.

The other self parking lot on the Villas side is a lot smaller and it's meant for those just going to eat and to look around, so it's not meant for guests staying there. Plus it's next to the Valet Park lot and that means even less spaces are available.

There is an entrance on either side of the building (canal between Swan & BWV & road). We parked in the lot closest to the Villas for a few days during our stay and used the entrance along the big canal to access that lot. When we had to park in the lot closest to the Inn & bus stop, we used the entrance along the road (the one hakepb is referring to).

Like hakepb said, these are ground floor entries with only stair access to upper floors.

If you look at a google satellite image of BWV, you'll be able to zoom in on the sidewalks that lead up to the entries.

We just came back yesterday from the Boardwalk and used the self parking lot next to valet which was very convenient to the villas. We were only on the second floor and would walk from the parking lot on the path that leads right to BWV and enter at the ground level door and just go up one flight and down the hall and we were there. Very easy and also very convenient to use that door to walk to DHS especially if you are way down that hall!!!

Also a hint for the self-parking lot by the valet lot make sure once you enter the lot go to the end aisle and make a right and drive toward the villa for closer parking. So many people entered the lot and parked in the spaces right in front of them and gave themselves a very long walk when there were spaces very close to the villas all open!!!
