Autism on the SAT

I took the SAT this morning and one of my reading comprehension passages was from a narrative of an autistic woman. It described the way she thought in pictures, instead of words, and how she used this to understand an animal's perspective and develop new spaces for them which minimized their fears.
I thought of everyone on the disABILITIES board when I read this - one of the few interesting reading comprehension passages :)

Her name is Temple Grandin, and she has written a book called Thinking in Pictures which is an incredible book about how she perceives the world - I highly recommend the whole book!!!

Thanks, teri! :) I was interested in the book but it didn't have her name on the test.
