Anyone here live in Vegas?

Have fun at Zumanity! I think it's the type of show that you either like it or not. No in between if you know what I mean. My DH and I liked it but my DB and SIL hated it so much that they walked out on it. I think that my favorite Cirque show right now is Love but I have yet to see O. That is next on our list. I am also taking my DDs to see Celine Dion in November. My DH and I saw her last year and the girls said that they wanted to see her too. When I heard that she will not be performing after December I decided to get tickets. DH is not coming to the show. He said that once was enough (LOL)! We'll all go to Caesers and he'll just hang out in the casino. I'm hoping to get a room in the Casino so then we can put the kids in the room and we can play for a little while.

Hope everybody that is going to DL for Nevada Day has a great time! Let's keep our fingers crossed for great weather!

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it! We have tickets for Nov. 16. We've seen KA and Love and both were so good!! I am hoping Zumanity is too.

Although I'd heard the same thing, that you either like it or hate it. I think we'll like it. Our tastes are a little on the odd side , so hopefully we'll be okay.
Either way, I'm not walking out. I'm too cheap! If I paid for it, we're staying put.

Enjoy the Celine Dion show!! I remember wanting to see her back when she first started performing. We just never got around to it, and I'm not sure we will before she leaves.

I hope the weather is good at Disney too!! And let's hope it's not too crowded although from what I've read online it sounds like it will be.

I want to see Phantom as well! My list of things I want to see is actually still pretty long. LOL But that's up near the top. Glad to hear you liked it.

I don't gamble so that's not an issue for me, but I could see going broke pretty quick with all these great shows.

Did everybody have fun NV Day? The weather was good, and I'm glad they got the fires basically under control.

We saw students, fellow teachers, administrators and regular people in the parks! You couldn't shake a costumed mouse without hitting a LV resident!

Next trip: MLK weekend. Expensive hotels---apparently there is a big convention in town. It wasn't as high last January, but it'll be worth it!

We had a great time. Really alot of fun. We'll be going back in December. Taking the kids out of school for that one. It's the only time my DH has off work though and after DL we'll be spending time in Simi Valley with the grandparents.

We didn't go for NV Day; we are going for Thanksgiving.

When DS13 was still playing soccer, twice we ran into other kids from his soccer teams at DL. Very weird, that you don't run into somebody at a grocery store a minute from your house, but you run into them 250 miles away!

Hi there! I read somewhere that they are working on getting them up because they are filming the Christmas Parade on the 17th and or 18th. So hopefully you'll get to see most if not all of them.

We're cancelling our Dec weekend at DL, because we will be in WDW for the week after Thanksgiving, and the budget is getting a bit stretched!!!

I haven't actually cancelled the hotel in Dec yet...just can't bring myself to do it!!!

Aw, well, I guess if you have to cancel, a trip to WDW is as good a reason as any.

But, I wouldn't cancel that hotel until the last possible second. You never know what could change.....

They live in VEGAS!!! Even more---they live in my area of Vegas! So we're going to meet to trade the pins---no shipping or Paypal. DH laughed at me doing a drug deal at Starbucks!!

Another Dis family living in Vegas (actually Green Valley area) here!

Vegas is a world unto itself. We've been here almost 10 years and it still blows my mind to see slot machines in gas stations and grocery stores. Amazing!

It is funny to run into neighbors at DLR when we go -- our last trip was in August and we ran into three families in two days! We'll be going again mon & tue since there's no school. Who knows who we'll run into! Sounds like it may be a few of you all!

We live in the Green Valley area also, a little closer to Silverado Ranch.
Has anyone been to the skate rink at the mall yet?
