Anyone actually purchased travel insurance for DVC points rental and successfully made a claim?

I think you should tell them you want to insure a timeshare rental, or even a vacation home rental. It doesn’t matter whether the owner you’re renting from is able to rent to you because they own that week at that resort or because they are an owner in a system that books based on points. Remember, you’re not renting points, you’re renting a reservation to stay at a resort. Many TS owners rent reservations, and the renters are able to purchase trip insurance the same as if they were making a hotel reservation and needed to insure that.
