Any guess on new itineraries?

I worked with a travel specialist, Heritage Tours, to arrange our private tour of Morocco. They were recommended by Conde Nast Traveler. I can report back after we've actually done the trip, but thus far they've been extremely helpful in planning everything for us. It's a pretty cool itinerary and very nice accommodations. I'm debating whether to go with them again for Egypt or a group like A&K or Thompson. Tauck's itinerary looks pretty good, but I'll need a family tour with my 7 and 11 year olds.
Thanks for that. I will look into Heritage Tours for Morocco. We are planning on doing Morocco on our own right before the Spain 2020 ABD unless ABD comes out with a new itinerary we are interested in.

Apologies if this has already been posted but it looks like they are rebooting the Backstage Magic at DW:

This *has* already been discussed (I'll have to find the thread). I thought the same thing as you! But in actuality, it's an existing behind the scenes tour that is now under the auspices of ABD (not sure when that changed) that they are making some upgrades to. It's only a day tour, not an actual ABD.

How weird that ABD is doing a day tour given that DW has lots of day tours but just this one is an ABD.
It does sound super fun!
I agree. It seems kind of odd to me, too. But it definitely does sound fun, and like something I will likely do.

I'll play! Not necessarily a guess but definitely one I would sign up for the first day -- Australia and New Zealand. To include Sydney, GBR and the north island of NZ (Waitomo Caves, etc).

I would so sign up for that on day one, too! The problem is, that Australia and New Zealand don't have decent weather at the same time. When it's not hot as heck in Australia, it's freezing in New Zealand. But I keep hoping to work that out.

I have nothing original to add. My guess is that they are going to add Portugal because that seems to be where everyone is going these days. When I got the Thomson brochure this year and saw that they had Morocco and Egypt, I thought that perhaps it was a sign that ABD would reboot Egypt. My top wish would for a trip would be Columbia. I looked into planning an OYO trip there, but got dissuaded by the logistics of internal travel there.

I am selfishly hoping there's nothing too tempting because I have already committed the lion's share of our 2020 travel budget.

A Nat Geo trip is kind of a Disney trip now. It will be interesting to see what the ABD/Nat Geo relationship will be moving forward. Bob Chapek, head of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, joined the Nat Geo board following the acquisition.

Somehow I missed that news tidbit!

Nat Geo is a Fox subsidiary and was acquired by Disney in the sale.

Rumors. Just rumors. Again...just rumors....Antartica and Egypt.

The announcement happens today at the press event.

Dates and rates supposedly weeks away.

Fingers crossed on Egypt. Kate and I are planning on Egypt in the winter of 2020. ABD would pretty much make that a done deal.

Honestly, I'm not interested in either Antarctica or Egypt at this time, so if that's it, I'll be sticking with my Rhône river cruise. :) Which I'm glad of, because with my luck, booking will start while I'm in Japan!

I don't know why I'm so excited to see what any new trips will be. We are all set for next summer (DIY Alaska land trip) and the summer after that (DIY upper New England) and summer 2022 looks like the ADB Rhine River Cruise. Just like to consider options, I guess.
