Annual passport: tickets for friends

Hi,
I'll be in DLP for the half marathon and I'll buy an AP. A couple of frieds will visit the parks only on Sunday so they need just a one day ticket. Will I be able to purchase a special priced ticket for them with the AP? Are they still a thing? And do I have to own the AP for a while to be able to purchase them or can I buy them a couple of days after the purchase (I'll buy the AP on Wednesday).

Yes, provided your AP is the Fantasy or Dream one you can buy your friends tickets at the gate with either 10% or 20% discount. See here.
